Two haltija walk into town

The Half Fiend grins and continues speaking Haltijan, "There is nothing you could do to offend me, young Veil-Watcher. After all, curiosity is how The Great Lord of Chaos first twisted the weaves between life and death and brought undeath to the land. Curiosity is to be embraced, not shamed."

He shifts his weight slightly, resting the shield on his knee as he continues to address Roman in fluent Haltijan, "My name is Maximilian, and the pleasure is wholly mine. I learned your wonderful native language when I attended the Tuolaùkh-Deamseoeo Academy for Young Lords in my youth. It was a very prestigious school back home where I grew up. It is where I began learning magic and learned of your people's contributions to the undead."

He glances at Jade and then returns his attention to Roman, continuing to speak in Haltijan. "Yes, my loyalty is to the Barony of Seshtau and my sword serves the will of Baroness Jade, may she lead us to glory."

As Maximilian walks up, Zinna steps closer to Edgar and away from Jade, Roman and Saige.
Edgar watches Max carefully, as Zinna starts to dig in her bag.

After a few minutes she pulls out a wrapped package and starts to hand it to Saige, but stops and looks at the edge of the zone of darkness and turns to pass the package to Jade. "We've got to be going. Much to do. Shelves to be built and fabric to be sewn. But I wanted to give Saige the spider silk we got for her parasol. I've still got some to practice with, and this should be enough for Zuigrii to tinker with."

Roman grins widely as Maximillion speaks. [In Haltijan] "I hope to see you around then so that I may practice more with you. I love our native tongue and haven't been able to speak it so freely in so long."

When Zinna begins to say her farewells, Roman turns to her and bows again. [In Common] "It was a pleasure to meet you, Princess Zinna. I hope we cross paths again."

As yhe zone of darkness is cast Jade takes a step into the circle. She smiles warmly while listening to Roman chats away in haltijan. When Zinna pulls put the wrapped bundle Jade moves back out of the circle to take it from her.

"Thank you princess Zinna. And thank you for the warm welcome to Roman. He has had a hard journey on his way to this kingdom. I just wanted him to see the positive side of things outside of the war. Thank you for always being to wonderful. "

Maximilian sweeps his arm in front of him and bows deeply to Roman, {In Haltijan} "You are always welcome to visit my home in Seshtau, young Lord. I shall prepare a room for you and my library and laboratory are open to you at your pleasure."

He flashes a toothy grin at Zinna, {In Common}"Safe travels, Princess. May the flesh of your enemies feed your flames."

He shift his grin to Jade, {In Haltijan}"See, Baroness? I can be pleasant to the fleshies." His grin becomes a smirk as he looks at Roman and winks, flicking his tail with playful mischievousness.

Miquella closes his eyes for a brief moment, “I should get going as well. I have quite a bit of research to do, and I unfortunately need to talk to a big scary dragon.” He gives smile and gets ready to walk away.
