Dagger delivery

Zuigrii lets out a small laugh at Julien’s awkwardness “Of course. Let me know when you’re ready.” 

He takes the offered hand. “I’m Zuigrii. It’s a pleasure to meet you Ikaru. I assume you are joining us to see Julien’s new weapon?”

Ikaru looks at the box. "Oh! That's the dagger huh?" He lifts up the sack. "I guess that's what this is for huh?"

Julien nods. "That should take care of the rest of what I owe."

Ikaru holds the bag out to Zuiigri. "I'll absolutely help test the dagger out." He pats the handle of the sword on his hip and looks at Julien. "We'll spar a little."

Julien takes Ikaru by the hand."Follow me, please."

Julien leads them both out of the embassy and around the corner. A little ways from the embassy is a training field. There are Seshtau members already there training. Throwing spells and slinging practice blades. Julien takes them to an empty section and turns to Zuiigri.

"Alright. Let's see it." Julien is smiling and rocking on his heels slightly.

Ikaru watches him and chuckles. "You're cute when you're excited."

Julien blushes at him and then turns back to Zuiigri, still rocking on his heels and smiling.
 

Zuigrii turns to face Julien and holds the box in front of him. As he opens it the box is lined with a basic leather lining on top and a simple cloth pillow in the bottom. Resting on the pillow is a14" blade with a 5" handle. It is sheathed in a black leather sheath with simple designs. He picks up the blade, and holding the sheath, presents the handle towards Julien. “I didn't have a ton of design input on decorations but you seem to be quite utilitarian so I didn’t think you would mind simple designs and muted colors.”

Julien smiles and reaches for the handle. "I appreciate all the thought and hard work you put into this for me, Zuiigri. Yes, I do prefer muted colors and a more utilitarian style." He pulls the blade free of the sheath. 

“I’m glad you like it. I asked for Jade’s input on this part.” Zuigrii gestures towards the blade. As Julien looks he will notice the handle is a dark stained wood with a partial wrapping in a sturdy but softened leather so that it fits securely and comfortably in his hand. The blade is a simple design made for long cuts or quick stabs. There is not much ornamentation on the blade. The one exception is a small symbol etched into the blade where it meets the handle. 

“I asked Jade what a symbol for a protector would be for the Haltijian people. This is what she sent me. I hope it will help remind you what you have already done and will continue to do for your people. I also hope, slightly selfishly I must admit, it will grant you the strength to protect my dear friend Jade as you further develop your relationship.” With that Zuigrii takes a half step back and bows his head waiting for a response. 

Julien takes a closer look at the blade and smiles a little wider. "This is... Perfect. It's better than I could have imagined."

Ikaru leans in close to examine the blade as well. "Oh wow! This is beautiful! And perfect for Jules. You're an excellent craftsman." 

Julien takes the blade and holds it, adjusting his hand to the feel of it, it's weight. He spins it in his hand and smiles at how smoothly it glides around his fingers and settles in his palm. [

color=#48D1CC]"I can't wait to try this out."[/color] He looks up at Zuiigri. "Want to stay and watch for a bit?"

Ikaru chuckles and reaches down to draw his sword, a dull edged blade that has clearly seen many battles. "When I have an idea exactly what I want, I'm definitely going to find you for a commission."

Julien chuckles, swapping the dagger from one hand to the other and back again. "I actually was discussing that with him before you came downstairs. He says he's willing to do it for you."

Ikaru smirks. "Excellent." He looks over his shoulder and then jogs backwards. "Alright, Jules. Lets test that sucker out."

"You gonna stick around for the show?" Julien chuckles before he turns and walks over to stand opposite Ikaru.
