Noble Court - The Crown vs Saige

Hearing Connor’s defense and the reactions, Saige blinks and looks up slightly. Her eyes are still glazed with an empty look, but she appears to be listening.

Selena is wearing black leather armor, her usually bare arms covered, only her neck, the top of her chest, and her finger tips remain uncovered. Her hair is tied back in a tight braid, the visible scales on her face remains multi colored, though around her eyes is a hint of darkness seeping out.

When Saige is brought in Selena watches her as she's led to her seat, not taking her eyes off the seemingly broken child of chaos.


When the draconian woman enters she sniffs the air as she's making small talk with the nobles that get along with her and shoots her gaze to the woman, narrowing her eyes for a moment before relaxing and turning to nod her head at Kalil before she returns to the conversation.

As Connor enters, Selena and Edgar both bow and salute him.

During Miquella's opening statement, Selena's demeanor remains blank and empty. As Connor steps up and begins his, she tries her best to hide her pride, though the corner of her lips do twitch into a smile for a moment before returning to the blank stare.

The King's face doesn't betray a reaction as he continues to watch the events unfold.

Lord Seneschal Faustus blinks several times, clearly caught off guard by Connor's statements, "Thank you, Prince Connor."

He turns his attention to Miquella, "Guildmaster, if you would please begin with your presentation."

He nods, "Our laws provide us with the security we need as a kingdom to function without issue. During the events of the Library. Baroness gave an order to vacate the area and to regroup. Saige in response refused that order. An order given to protect the party as a whole who went. As such she used the methods necessary to have her vacate the area. Upon returning to a safe location Saige became filled with a soberness rage and attacked the Baroness and Zuigrii. The exact description the citizen Zuigrii gave was 'she ripped out his throat'. Did their actions warrant such a response? No. No such action can justify the use of violence used against friends, allies, citizens, and nobles of this kingdom. Putting nature aside this is a clear indication of two laws being broken. The breaking of a noble order as stated in the following, 'The Nobles of the Ariadnian Empire are the Eyes, Ears, and Voice of The King. A Noble has the right to declare a Noble Order when appropriate for the safety, protection, or service to the kingdom. A Noble Order may temporarily redefine, remove, or augment these Laws. CITIZENS are to comply to noble Orders as though they were spoken by the King.' and the attack of the Baroness, 'Assault of a noble, as so defined as the act or attempts to cause bodily harm to a Noble-born or appointed citizen through willing action or negligence, is prohibited under the Laws of this kingdom and is punishable by a fine of no fewer than 500 gold pieces as well as a lawful penance as determined by the assaulted Noble.'

All of these actions could have been avoided if Saige learned to control her anger. This anger has been building up for a while now. Talking about ripping apart her enemies, ripping them open, and more. It has just unfortunately lead to an attack on one of our own. All of this is added on to the fact that she saw nothing wrong with her actions. Clearly a display of a lack of education and empathy control."

As Miquella goes on, Storm growls and her leg begins bouncing again. The Draconian beside her grabs her thigh and squeezes enough to get Storm's attention. The two Draconian's lock eyes and then Storm jerks her attention away with a huff, relaxing her leg once more.

Kalil narrows his eyes as Miquella speaks and 'hmph's but otherwise remains impassive.

Charlotte leans forward and scribbles on some paper before leaning back in her seat once more, turning her gaze to Connor for his next defense.

Kethri, who has been looking quite bored, finally seems to take interest and sits up in her seat.

For the first time since she was brought into the room, Saige turns to look at someone. Her head slowly pivots toward Miquella as he speaks. She stares him directly in the eyes, her own burning with a silent, sadistic fury.
