Saige is really bad with directions…

After being escorted back to Volaire by Mari, Saige bids her friend farewell and begins to walk in the direction of where she believes the tavern to be. After an hour of walking, however, she passes the same tree that she’s already greeted three times.

“Hello again, tree friend! Do you happen to know where the tavern is? I can’t seem to find it… do you think it vanished?!”

Saige gives the tree a hug, enjoying the night breeze, listening intently for a response.

"Nah. It's still there...." Mari's voice calls out from the tree before she giggles and steps out of the other side of it.

"I couldn't find my auntie so I guess I can go hang out in town with ya for bit. Her friends said they'd let her know I needed to see her when she got back."

“Mari!” Saige gasps, “We’re you this tree the whole time?”

Saige grins and hops up and down.

“Does that mean we’re going to have a sleepover?! I have no idea where Blodwulf is, I usually have my tent next to his, but tonight I could totally set my tent next to yours!”

She looks around, still unsure of where she is. Shrugging, she turns back to Mari, a new idea popping into her head.

“Or… we could have a sleepover with the bats! Have you ever slept upside down in a tree? It’s really cool!”

Mari laughs and shakes her head. "No. I just got here, someone told me where to find you."

She tlts her head and scrunches her brow.
"Blodwulf... the guy that was with red and black and is now in black and white?"
She shrugs. "I don't know where he is, but I can ask a bird to go find him for you if you want?"

Mari laughs at the thought of sleeping with the bats. "Yeah. It's a lot easier now that I can make sure the tree keeps hold of me when I fall asleep."

“Yeah, he’s the one that likes to fight a lot. I really figured he’d be looking for me by now, so I’m getting kind of worried.”

Saige gives Mari a mischievous look.

“We could go find everyone, see what they’re up to. Orrrrr we could come up with a fun plan and *then* go find them. Do you like pranks?”

"I'm not a huge fan of pranks. Mainly cause I can never seem to successfully prank the fey I hang around with. They're so much better at it than me." She laughs and turns to tweet at a nearby bird that flies off hastily towards town.

"I'll help you prank someone though, if you have any ideas.... Maybe, depends on who you want to prank depends on if I'll help or run away cause I don't like conflict."
She smiles and shrugs. "I'm not very useful in a fight. I can heal people, and put living things to sleep, but that's about it."
