Mendacium pauses, clearly taken aback. After but a moment’s pause a slim chuckle escapes his pursed lips.
”I’m not sure that anyone else would care too much Miss Cadeum - but sure.”
He looks away, working hard to herd his thoughts. “”After… what happened, I could hardly stay. The eyes, the whispers, it all got on to me after a little.” He paused. “Well, that’s not entirely the truth. I have a calling now, Miss Cadeum. A calling far greater than what could be accomplished in your House, as lovely as it were. I shall change the world - eventually.”
