Kalil's slams a hand over his mouth to stifle the laugh he almost explodes with. He quickly looks down and clears his throat, recentering himself and quieting again. He locks his eyes on Connor with a wide grin.

Storm's jaw drops and she stares at Connor then at Miquella and then leans back in her seat with a smug smile on her face.

Charlotte's eyes widen at the news of Saige's diplomatic position and then she frowns. With a sigh, she leans forward to make more notes and leans back in her chair, folding her arms across her chest.

Kethri glances around the room before leaning back in her chair and yawning.

Sofira's eyes widen and she leans over to Amrynn and whispers. After a few seconds of whispering between them, Sofira straightens again and looks to King Vlastimir.

Jade is getting noticeably excited as she starts to grin smugly. She makes eye contact with Connor and gives him a wink as if to say "Good job".

He speaks without hesitation "So you state that an Emissary can act as they wish without prosecution in another nation? If that is the case. This Emissary attacked our nobility. Would that in turn be a declaration of war? Would that in turn be a declaration of war for multiple nations with the goblinoids and Calista Fateweaver? Since Saige used her powers to manipulate an allied guard. Should she then be charged as an war criminal? For how would they view that their Royal Emissary was caught breaking the laws of the country they are visiting. Thus, threating the peace that they sought to have by appointing Saige as their emissary? Will she be barred from entering the kingdom anymore after this act? Should we in turn dismiss these charges and call upon a war council? Also if I recall correctly. Saige is a citizen of this Kingdom. Born within the borders of Tuatha itself. Did she forgo her citizenship to this country? Was that declaration noted? What is to say that another commoner befriends a group of sentient pigeons who state they have a queen, and they declare that commoner as a royal emissary. Does that excuse them from running around our Kingdom committing crimes?"

Connor sighs again, his body relaxed and his expression one of mild annoyance,
"Valid points, Guildmaster. All very valid points. Perhaps a War Council should indeed be called. At which point the Guild of Light can explain the presence of unregistered weaponry. The massive guardian that you have that caused obscene amounts of property damage recently, am I correct in assuming that such 'War Machine' is registered with the palace? Surely the Knightmaster, the one responsible for the nation's military, has Master Control over said War Machine?"

He leans forward suddenly, aggressively, "Or what of the portal you're harboring to the Sidhe? Should we investigate what the Guild of Light is doing behind closed doors with a direct doorway to an actively aggressive nation? Did the Sidhe not recently wage war upon the Dragons and our Knightmaster? Why are we looking only at the alleged transgressions of one Wild Elf? You speak of actions against our allies but what of the implements of treason to our very kingdom in your own pocket? It seems to me that this entire ordeal is naught more than a smokescreen to obfuscate your own misgivings, which brings to question the reputability of the one bringing the charges against the defense in the first place."

Miquella stands firm, "Are you referring to the guardian that took on the giant skeleton shadow creature in order to help save the city? The guardian in question was created before my time as Guildmaster. As current Guildmaster I was under the impression that the proper paperwork was filed. Thank you for informing me. That can be easily fixed. Even though it is in pieces in front of my Guild. Also if this was an issue or questions about the legality of the Guardian is in question. Why only bring it up now? In fact the Guardian has been there more then a year and no one mentioned before. It was apparent to all to see. We did not hide it. As for the portal to the Sidhe. Yes one is placed in the guild under protection. In fact the Knightmaster is fully aware of its location and fully aware that the Guild of Light is in position of it. With Kinghtmaster Fallin present I will be happy to notate that I ventured into the Sidhe for medicinal purposes since our Kingdom is currently running low on the necessary herbs. It was when we went into the Sidhe when we rescued Kalil's mother that unique benefit. Plus, it is ideal to keep a doorway for emergencies for if it is needed, but rest assured that will be promptly destroyed. I would hate to be committing treason." He then looks to the King. "I will be willing to answer for this if you so required." He then looks back to Connor, "Now that little show is over. Should we get back to the current charges to be brought up against Saige or should we keep trying to divert the current issue at hand?"

Connor nods, "Yes, yes, of course. I apologize if my information was inaccurate. Surly Queen Sofira can confirm that she had the guardian commissioned. Or was it Guildmistress Rachelle? Forgive me, the technology for that guardian is Planar, yes? I seem to recall such technology being the specialty of the late Planar Knights. There were artifacts recovered from their keep right?"

He tilts his head slightly, "Why is it just now being brought to light? Maybe because it was convenient to 'just overlook' its presence until now? Much like you admitted doing with Saige's behavior; overlooked it until it was no longer of personal convenience for you to do so... Afterall, these charges were brought up several months after the supposed transgression actually occurred."

Connor's face crosses with an exaggerated look of confusion, "Sorry, Guildmaster, based on your long-winded drivel about the rights and stature of a Diplomatic Emissary, I thought that we had moved beyond sensible path of conversation with regard to our intended purpose."

He shakes his head, chuckling, "Sorry, I digress... My only intent in bringing up the matters I did was to illustrate to the Court that the accusations that the defense is facing were brought up by someone with questionable and rather troubling history and motives himself. I wouldn't want to seem like I'm diverting from the topic at hand, which is of course Saige's alleged transgressions. Saige stands accused of grievous crimes, the likes of which I have already stated for the court are inapplicable to one of Saige's current status. Now, I do recall in your bout of verbal emesis that you gave several opinions as to how Emissaries should be treated, but I don't believe you addressed the actual charges against Saige. Now, to echo your own sentiment, could we please get back to the current issue at hand and address the reasoning I provided as to why these charges are irrelevant?"
