Baroness Charlotte

A couple of days after Selena's missive posting, Charlotte and Kalil can be seen walking through town with a small group of five guards all wearing black and white colors. Charlotte wears a red tunic with black pants and a sword at her hip. While Kalil wears all black with a black and white favor and a sword on either hip. Charlotte and Kalil make their way to the Guild of Light. Townspeople whisper as they step out of their way. When they reach the guild porch, Charlotte knocks on the ward.

"Hello. I've come to see Guildmaster Miquella." Charlotte says and smiles at whoever is waiting in the common room.

Kalil stands silently beside her with his arms folded across his chest as they wait.

The attendant at the desk brings the ward down to let the guest in. At closer inspection it can be seen to be Claire Baker. Her nervousness is unquestioning as they enter the guild. "Uhh..the Guildmaster is located in the garden. Please follow me." She escorts who ever follows to the garden. After the guest reach the door to the garden Claire gives another bow and walks back to the desk. Upon entering the guest will see Miquella on the ground pulling weeds. Dressed in just trousers and shoes. The scares of imprisonment adorn his back. The scars weaving with the gold imagery that seemly coexist. Without his mask a golden band seems to be tattooed on his head to show his symbol as a Guildmaster. On his right hand it seem to be a symbol of a closed gate. Standing in the garden with Miquella is what appears to be a 30 ft tall light golem. Standing motionless against the beating sun.

Kalil nods to Claire and then looks to Charlotte. "I'll wait out here."

Charlotte gives him a smile and enters the guild. Kalil holds up a hand to signal to the guards to halt and so they do not follow Charlotte into the guild either. Kalil takes a seat on the steps of the guild and pulls out a knife which he starts tossing around between his hands and flipping it around his fingers.

Charlotte follows Claire through the guild to the garden. Charlotte looks over Miquella quietly and then clears her throat.

"Guildmaster? I thought I would come say hello." She smiles but there is still sadness in her eyes.

Miquella quickly turns around slightly surprised, "Oh Charlotte. Its good to see you." He can be seen looking down at his appearance as he gets up to go to a water barrel and washes off some. "I am sorry for my current state. I wasn't expecting visitors. How have you been? Also, for what do I owe the pleasure of your arrival?" He says with a smile. Miquella makes his way to a garden chair and takes a seat. "Please have a seat. There is water if your thirsty." He points to a seat adjacent to him next to a small table with water on top of it.

"Don't apologize. I caught you busy working. It's perfectly fine." She takes the seat indicated. "Well... To be honest, I came by because I remembered something that happened a couple days before my brother...." She trails off and seems to drift away for a moment before shaking her head and smiling again. "Well, anyways, my father called us into a meeting a couple days before... everything happened... He was announcing to Rolland, Theomund, and me that he had named me his heir. Officially. Will signed and all." She grimaces. "My brother... He reacted very badly. He even told my father he 'would regret it'. Then the attack happened a couple days later. At the time, none of us took it seriously. Except Rolland. He expressed concerns about Theomund's reaction but my father told him he just needed to cool down." She sighs. "Clearly that wasn't the case... I just remembered the whole incident and thought I would share with you. I don't know if an investigation is still something you want to do or not. I apologize for not mentioning this before. I just wasn't thinking very clearly." She reaches over and takes a glass of water and sips it.

Miquella listens to her speaks and then takes a sip of water. "That detail was very important to know. That changes the view entirely from someone just acting upon a sudden emotion, and one who was lingering with anger for a while....the investigation would no longer be necessary to conduct unless you requested it. I can move my sources else wear if that is the case." He takes another sip of his water and he looks at the golem. "But please be cautious. If your brother was still influenced in some way, and was used as a weapon. It would be safe to say he failed his task, and you may still be in danger." Miquella looks a Charlotte. Looking for any faulter in the next words she says.
