A year has passed

A year had passed since the attack on the graveyard. The common folk of Volaire gather near the gate of the graveyard looking around curiously. They talk and gossip as the summer sun beats down upon their skin. A hush falls upon the crowd as two nobles escort an undead towards the gates. Lady Jade of Seshtau and Guildmaster Miquella of the Guild of Light approach with a skeletal being. The whispers of the crowd all gasp as they watch one of their own return to town. The one known as Clair Baker.

Miquella walks along side the two. The nobles opposite in nature converse naturally as they always do. In a whisper where Jade can hear, “I hate all this gawking. It makes me nervous. I hope this can be done quickly if possible.” He walks to a location where he hopes to meet other nobles of the kingdom.

Dorian walks up to stand with the heroes as they await the arrival of the Lich of The Graveyard. He smiles at Jade and Miquella.

"Hello, Jade. Miquella. Hope you've been well." He nods to them in turn and then looks up at the sound of creaking.

The large gates of the Cemetary of Souls begin creaking open slowly. It opens just enough for a person to walk through. That person has red hair and is wearing a green top with black pants. Valyrie approaches the group.

"Hello, all. We are here to free Miss Baker today. She has served her sentence as an undead. I hope she has gained some valuable insight and has a better appreciation for the undead." She looks over at the undead Claire Baker. "Approach."

The revenant Claire Baker does as ordered and approaches Valyrie.

"Anyone have any objections to reversing her state? Shall I proceed?" Valyrie asks with a hand on the revenants shoulder.

Miquella nods in Dorians direction. “I’ve been doing good. A bit hot is all.” He takes notice of the gates and Valyrie. He awaits to hear any objections to the reversal.

Jade greets Dorian and bows to Valyrie. She fans herself for some relief from the heat.

"I have no objection. Is this all who are coming? "

Dorian shifts uncomfortably in his armor and wipes sweat from his brow. "I'm a little surprised I don't see Baroness Eclipse but I'm not surprised the others decided not to join us."

Valyrie looks over those gathered and nods. "Well, with no objections, I will return Claire Baker to her living state."

Valyrie places her hand upon the revenants chest and the next moment, revenant Claire drops to the ground and convulses. Slowly her body begins to rejuvenate, no longer looking dried out and rotten. The bleeding from her orifices stops, and after a moment, a very human hand wipes at the blood on her face. The young woman stands back up shakily and turns to look at everyone gathered.

"I declare that Claire Bakers sentence has been served and she may return to her life." Valyrie smirks. "Unless, she chooses otherwise?"

Claire gasps and steps away from Valyrie, shaking her head vigorously. Valyrie laughs but otherwise does not move towards Claire.

"M-my children?! Where are my children?!" Claire suddenly screams and rushes over to cling to Dorian.

Dorian gently grabs her by the shoulders and pushes her back. "You're children are safe last I was told, Miss Baker. They were placed in the Volaire orphanage."

She looks around with pleading eyes. "May I... may I see my children?"
