The moon begins to poke through the thick clouds that hang in the evening sky. There is no foot traffic in town except for the occasional shop owner finishing up their evening shut down on their stall. The tavern is starting to quiet down for the evening as it's guests pay their tabs and leave.

However, two humanoid figures can be seen walking up to the tavern. As they approach their faces begin to light up from the soft glow of the outside lanterns. In steps the baroness of Seshtau and her personal flesh golem. She takes a table that is secluded in the very back. Her flesh golem stands with its back to the table and scans the room for any threat as she takes a seat and begins to write a letter. Once she is finished she folds the parchment and stamps it with a red wax seal. She then removes a small undead squirrel from her satchel and hands it over. The squirrel grabs the parchment in its mouth and runs out of the tavern into the darkness.

*Blodwulf sees Charles hop onto the railing with a letter.*
Charles! What are you doing here, little guy? *Blodwulf scratches behind his ear* How can I help you? *Charles hands Blodwulf the note and blodwulf reads it. Turning to his crew, blodwulf says* "You miserable globs watch after the ship, I've been summoned." *Blodwulf tightens his sword belt around his hips and walks off the ship.

*An hour later Blodwulf makes it to the tavern with Charles riding on his shoulder. He immediately notices Baroness Jade at a secluded table and walks toward it* "You needed to speak with my, mi'lady?" He asks with a trifle of hesitance in his voice.

As Blodwulf approaches the flesh golem stares him down and Jade issues a command to it.

"Kumara stand down."

Jade waves for him to take a seat before she begins.

"So I hear you have a new ship. I might have some work for you."

*Blodwulf takes a seat in front of the Baroness* "Yes. I have a new ship, Baroness. What kind of work is it? Importing, exporting, VIP escort? My ship is fast, but not fully capable for intense combat. What do you have in mind, mi'lady?"

Jade folds her hands and places them on the table top.

"I have noticed and exterminated a few camps that have popped up in the marshes on Seshtau that belong to the cultists. I get the feeling that they are crossing the canal between our two countries. If you are up to it, I would be asking you and your crew to patrol those waters between the meeting of heros. If you were to spot an enemy ship or even one that seems suspicious you could capture it and hold it for the navy. If accepted, your efforts would be greatly appreciated. How does that sound?"

That sounds agreeable. But, with respect, mi'lady, there is a matter of compensation. For supplies for the ship. Because the canals aren't exactly a skip on a pond. Like I said, no disrespect whatsoever. I may have an idea if you're up for hearing it. *Blodwulf wipes sweat from his brow and eyes the flesh golem nervously*
