An explanation for a complex emotion

Jade and Saige can be seen walking out of the Seshtau embassy. They walk through town together chatting and eventually arrive in front of the guild of light. Jade looks at the state of the building taking it all in. She sighs and calls out to whoever may be inside.

"Hello? Is the guild master in?"

After a moment Miquella makes his way out. Blood on an apron as he looks like he is sweating. “Hey. What’s going on.”

“Miquella.” Saige looks him in the eye. “I am dying.”

“Are you lying to me?” There is a serious tone in his voice. He seems exhausted and completely filthy as the guild is in ruins behind him.
