Vesta summons Jade

After sending a letter to have Jade meet her at the vardo, Vesta pulls her hair into a bun. Despite it being the middle of the afternoon, she changes into pajamas, pours two drinks, and sits in the doorway, waiting for Jade to arrive.

Jade can be seen leaving her embassy in a hurry. She rushes to the various that is parked by the tavern and knocks on the door. The knocks sound rapid and panicked.

"Vesta?! I got your letter. Are you alright?"

She opens the door, looking exhausted. She lets out a sigh and speaks.

"Hello, Baroness. Yes. Well, no. I'll be fine after I sleep for a few days. But I need to talk to you first."

She motions for Jade to come in, and hands her one of the glasses of wine she poured.

"The options are limited, but you may pick any seat you wish."

Jade takes the glass and immediately puts it down as soon as Vesta isn't looking. She pulls out a stool and takes a seat.

"Please tell me what is wrong. You're letter sounded urgent."

Vesta falls onto her couch with a huff. She appears exhausted, the dark circles under her eyes rivaling an undead's. She quickly downs her glass and sets it on the table.

"It's not life or death, so you can stop panicking. I just got out of a long conversation with Selena." She pulls her feet up onto the couch. "As much as I hate to ask it of you, I need your assistance. With... a few things."

She grabs one of her pillows and begins toying with the tassel trim.

"Oh, I met Saige, by the way. It was... interesting?"

Jade closes her eyes and sighs from relief.

"Well let's hear it. I'm sure it can't be too bad."
