In an effort to be a bit more socially appropriate and sensitive to the struggles faced by our players, Volaire LARP has effected the following changes to our rulebook:
1) There will be no makeup races that utilize full black facepaint. Drow ("Dark Elves") shall now have the makeup requirement of all exposed skin being dark grey in color rather than black.
2) The race "Gypsies" will no longer be called such due to the fact that, historically, "Gypsy" is considered to be a racial slur. As such, the race of travelers will now be known as The Ramtovi (rahm-TOH-vee).
Volaire LARP is meant to be an escape from the stresses and drama of normal everyday life, so we want to make sure that the environment we create is one of universal acceptance and fun!
We here at The G.A.M.E want all of our players, new and old, to know that we care about each and every one of you regardless of religion, sexual identity or orientation, political views, ethnicity, or race... except for Draconians. Screw those guys!
