A Female Draconian

Storm takes a seat and accepts the glass of water offered. After she takes a sip, she continues. "Honestly, I'd like to set down roots here so I'd be interested in joining your merry band, if you'll have me. I believe I can be useful to your guild. Even though I can't heal. I can protect your healers and you out there." She shrugs. "I tried the mercenary thing for a while and it's not all its cracked out to be. Money isn't steady, housing isn't steady, and you never know who you're getting in bed with really. I know this guild is honorable and I'd like to be someone people look to when they need help. Someone they can trust. This town needs more people they can trust." She takes another sip. "I've seen you fight and heard about your travels. You are an honorable person. I'd be lucky to be able to fight alongside you."

Miquella smiles at her words. "I must say that joining this guild will absolve you of mercenary work as you wear our colors. The members of this Guild serves the community and the kingdom as a whole. As a result we cannot be bought for the highest bidder. If a noble comes and asks us for guidance and aid we will see what we are able to provide. If a commoner comes and ask us for guidance and aid we will provide the same level of respect to them as we would any noble. Is that something you are comfortable with before I go into other requirements and benefits for Guild membership?" Miquella shifts in his seat to look at her. Studying her and her movements.

She shrugs as she folds one leg over the other in her seat. "Like I said, mercenary work isn't all that reliable and I've gotten mixed up with some bad people in the past." Her eyes widen and she waves a hand. "Don't worry! None of that is gonna come back to bite me. The people who tried to use me for more malicious purposes.. Well, they won't be a problem." She relaxes in her seat once more. "I'm working on making friends with the nobles as it is. I've met Knightmaster Selena a few times and we're on good terms. I don't wear her colors but I have promised to be available should the need arise. I'm sure she won't mind if I tell her about me being a member of the Guild of Light. She seems like a reasonable person who understands loyalty. And I would be loyal. Put your colors on me and I'll defend anyone who wears our colors and our allies."

Miquella takes a sip and gets up, "That is good to hear. Loyalty is very important to those in the Guild. So, a little bit about being a Guild member. First, you would start off as a recruit. That technically means that you will help out with the guild in all area as the member find what fits you best. Helping with deliveries of supplies as we all do, members request, infirmary needs, defense if needed, and when we perform outreach actions assisting with that as well. Since I personally have seen you work before I will talk with Lorielle and you can assist with the....physical aspect of the guild. Defense, field work, and other stuff on that level. The recruit period can last anywhere from 3 months-1 year. I do not expect you to have to wait for 1 year. If you should your dedication and loyalty I am sure you will become a full member quick."

He starts to move around a little bit talking to Storm.

"Now you will not necessarily get a pay per say. I personally give Claire payment so she can help her children, but in normal instances. The pay one gets in the Guild is through free housing via a room, three meals a day, training, purpose, and if a member of the guild needs anything that can assist the guild. The Guild will provide funds for that....Now when you go out during induvial task or if I require assistance in the field that normally occurs. You can keep all the spoils to yourself of those that may fall. I personally give the funds I gather and put them back into the Guild for member use, but if you do not wish to do that you do not have too."

He turns to face Storm.

"Your talents can be very useful for sure. Chances are you will also be a face of the guild as well. I tend to be in the defenses of the Guild and city. When you are out in the city or in the kingdom as a whole as long as you wear the Guild of Lights favor you represent the guild so keep that in mind.....Do you accept to these rules, or do you have any questions?"

Storm listens intently as Miquella paces. Once he's finished and turns to face her, she stands up. "One thing before I agree to your terms that I feel you should know. I am a hunter. I collect pelts, bones, and meat of the things I hunt. I currently have a working contract with the merchant Peyote. Until he follows through with his end of the deal, which is getting me some magic axes, he gets first pick of my hunts. Once that contract is complete, I will probably continue to hunt so that I am making a little gold on the side or I can use what I earn to contribute to the guild itself." She pats her axes on her hips. "I am perfectly fine with my pay being lodging, meals, and training. It means I won't be spending more coin at the tavern than necessary. So as long as my deal with Peyote won't be a problem, I can agree to your terms."

Miquella nods listening to Storm, "That wont be an issue. You are still your own person, and your side jobs are fine as long as they do not put the Guild in danger." He holds his finger up for one moment and goes to the door to the garden. "Can someone bring Lorielle to the garden please." He goes back to Storm. "I am going to introduce you to Lorielle. She is the Guild's Protector. I will have you work with her on your training and additional task as required. As the Protector her job is to ensure she guards the guild from dangers. I feel that you and her will work well. I hope at least. I will need to get you a favor also, and show you around the Guild. As you can see we are renovating a little bit." He gives off a slight chuckle. "I would like to welcome you to the Guild of Light Storm. I hope the Light is able to help guide you to peace and purpose." He says with a warm smile.
