Jade's Side Quest

Jade thinks for a moment and then pulls the map out of her satchel.

"My lady found this in our archives. We are just trying to pin point where these coordinates are on this map."

Jade points to the written numbers on the parchment and then pulls out a pen. She hands the pen over to Storm.

"I'm sure it isn't anything too important. But it would be nice to have everything accounted for in our library. "

"No, it's supposed to be that color. Leave it on the fire and flip it when it starts to bubble at the edges."
Maximilian walks backward out of the kitchen area, shouting at someone in the adjoining room.
"Honestly..." He mutters, "How hard is it to cook a Landshark steak?"
Turning and seeing Jade, he wanders over and sets down a plate of steaming meat and vegetables in front of her. "Milady, what brings you here?"

As Maximilian walks up she slides the paper over to him.

"My lady found this in the archives and needs these coordinates located."

Jade says with a wink. She also pulls out a scroll and passes it over to him.

"Also could you please decipher this for me."

"Sure! I can take a look. I'm pretty good at reading maps." She takes the pen but then pauses when Maximillion approaches. "Seems your friend has finally arrived. I can still look this over for you if you'd like or I can leave it in your friends hands. I see you two are affiliated with the same barony."

Maximilian plucks a chunk of roasted carrot off of the plate and pops it in his mouth as he leans over to look at the paper.

"Mmm... mmhmm..."

He picks up a few pieces of cubed potato from the plate with his claws and begins placing them on the parchment.

"Here... here... here... and here. Looks like they form something of a semi-circle around Volaire town proper, which is here." He indicates the town with a kernel of corn.

He unrolls the scroll and quickly glances over it, his eyes darting back and forth and his lips moving as he looks over the inscribed formulae. His eyes suddenly widen and he quickly rerolls the scroll. As he hands the scroll back to Jade, he leans down to whisper in her ear.

Jade nods and whispers something back. She cups her hands around her mouth so she can't be heard and her lips cannot be read.

She takes the scroll and puts it back in her pouch immediately.

She turns her attention back to the map and brushes the food off the parchment.

"Don't put your greasy good on this map. Ew."

She takes her pen and marks where the food was.

" Do these points have any significance? "
