A woman with long reddish brown hair and a long sleeved deep green dress and an apron emerges from off the side of the bar. She is carefully carrying a steaming plate and a clear glass filled with water towards the bar. Upon reaching the seat nearest the young lord she pauses and stares down at the blood smeared across the wood.
Without a word, she sets the plate and glass on a clean space on the bar and whips out a white rag. She meticulously cleans the space in front of the lord's seat until it is cleared of all signs of the dead deer. She then sets the rag to the side and replaces the plate and glass in front of him, upon which he would see a perfectly cleaned and prepared, headless fish filet with a side of diced potatoes and herbs.
"I hope it pleases you, my Lord." She bows her head and curtsies.
When she raises her head, she does not meet his eyes and instead turns in the direction of the kitchen and Blodwulf.
"Excuse me, sir. Only tavern keepers are allowed in the kitchens." She looks at the deer. "You may leave it there. I will tend to it."

"Let me hang this deer up and I'll be out of your way" He says as he ties a rope to it's back legs and throws the other end of the rope over a cross beam. "I don't know what that little guys problem is, but I'll be damned before I'm talked to like I'm some sort of miscreant. Snotty little punk." "By the way, I'm Blodwulf. And your name is.....?"

The young boy watches the woman's actions with a look of admiring on his face. He watches in silence and then carefully inspects the glass as it is placed in front of him. His eyes move to the steaming plate and he smiles.
"You may have just single handedly saved face, miss." He says as he produces a small yet bulging cloth pouch. He tosses the pouch in hand a few times as though testing its weight and then holds it out to the woman that brought him his plate.
"You well deserve this. Go, on. Take it... and if you have need for anything, you need only enter the Mages Guild and ask for Johan."
With the same smile, he turns toward Blodwulf, "Oh, forgive me if there was any misunderstanding... I would never imply that you are a miscreant. Such would be a horrid offense... to the miscreants, of course as even they hold higher station than the likes of you."
He turns to his plate and begins eating.

The red haired woman blushes lightly and accepts the bag of coins, keeping her eyes down. "Thank you, Lord Johan."
The maiden sticks the coin purse in her apron before turning her attention to Blodwulf. She clears her throat and begins approaching him. Once she stands between him and his view of the young lord Johan, she looks up at the hanging deer.
"Sir, may I ask you to cut down the deer and bring it into the kitchens for me." She then looks him in the eyes and lowers her voice so that only he may hear her. "I would like to speak with you. It appears you have been gone for some time and I would offer some advice that may be of use to you here."

"Yes, milady." He says as he draws his sword and slashes the rope. The deer thuds to the ground and he picks it up and takes it to where she directed. "A lot has changed since I've been gone, hasn't it?"

She follows him into the kitchens and let's out a soft chuckle. "It would appear that much has changed since you were last here, sir."
She gives him a brief smile and dips her head. "My name is Nymera and I was very much like you not so very long ago." She cringes. "Maybe not so... Brave as you. But I was not very clear on the world of nobles and what those things mean."
Nymera walks over to the counter with the deer and looks it over while speaking. "In this town, if you bring something to the people, say for instance, spending gold and offering aid, that makes you worth some level of respect. That young lord out there is from the Mages Academy which is a highly highly respected association in this town. He also mentioned his father is a merchant, therefore he is a noble of a sort."
She looks up from the deer and looks Blodwulf over. "You stated you used to be a soldier and are now a bounty hunter. Meaning you are looking for work and for coin that people may not have to spare. You are unknown to these people and hold no title or own any land here, that makes you..." She clears her throat and looks down. "A peasant. As much as I dislike the word." She quickly looks up and meets his eyes. "And I do not mean that to upset you. I just want to keep you from meeting with an unfortunate situation because of a few words exchanged in the heat of the moment, as they say. You must remember that the nobles here have authority over our lives. Words can mean life and death depending on who you speak them to and how you speak them." She nods towards the main room of the tavern. "And I must say, that situation was leading towards unpleasantness that I do not wish to see any of our guests facing, and you are a guest here." She gives him a small smile. "Do you have any questions for me? I would very much like to make your stay here with us as pleasant as possible."
