Knocking on the door of the Seshtau embassy

A few days after her arrival, Vesta makes her way to the Seshtau embassy in search of the Baroness. She knocks on the door and waits for a response.

The door is open by a young brunette elven woman with glasses.

"Yes? Oh you probably want to come in."

She opens the door and allows you to enter. Inside there isn't much going on at the moment. Mostly just the elven woman and a purple skinned half feind who sits behind the desk. He wears a Seshtau colored tabbard and sits behind a desk. He seems to ignore the whole situation and scribbles away at some paperwork.

"How may I be of assistance?"

The woman asks.

Vesta looks uncomfortable, but clears her throat.

"Oh, my name is Vestarin Maireni Solsari, I was wondering if Baroness Jade was available? I have something that needs to be discussed with her. It isn't of utmost importance, though, so I can come back another time if needed."

She rubs her hands together nervously.

The woman pushes her glasses up her nose and nods.

"She should have just gotten back. Follow me."

The woman leads you down a couple of hallways and you arrive at a door. The woman knocks and speaks.

"Baroness! You have a visitor! Are you busy?"

A minute or so passes and the door is opened by a six foot tall man made of mix matched flesh. It's looks down to the pair then steps back, allowing the duo to enter. Jade is straightening up her desk. There are letters and papers that she files away in a drawer before looking up.

"Good afternoon. Please come in and have a seat. I apologize for the state of my office. I've had a lot of visitors lately. "

Vesta follows, stifling a yelp as the creature opens the door. Her wide eyes examine the room, making sure there are no more surprises.

"That's quite alright." She sits and brushes off her skirts, still looking very uncomfortable. "Apologies for the sudden visit, I wasn't sure if you would be able to discuss the vision I mentioned in my letter today. I'm Vesta, by the way."

Her eyes follow the creature in the room, and she shivers.

"I'm so sorry to ask, but is there any way you could send that thing outside?"

Jade has a slightly irritated look on her face and sighs.

"Even though I don't agree with it, I understand the unease."

Jade orders Kumara to stand outside her office until Vesta leaves.

"Next time, please let me or my team know ahead of time before you plan to visit. I would like to not have to send away my sworn protector again. Next time we can at least have someone else in place."

Jade proceeds to place all the papers in her desk and turns back to Vesta.

"Now... how may I help you?"
