A quest to unlock the secrets of the sand

Jade nods with Miquella's words.

"I do know most of the desert is uncharted due to the harsh conditions. And the winds constantly changing the sands doesn't help either. But is there any knowledge you may possess that could help us on our quest?"

The Headmaster nods slowly. "Yes... Yes... Well, the desert is full of monsters. Monsters that have learned to survive in the harsh climate. But I'm sure you expected that." He hms to himself and then smiles. "Nope. Not a thing. I've never heard of this library until the rumors reached my doors."

“Hmmm. Ok. So then we need to get extra supplies ready for the journey then.”

“Also headmaster. I offered my talents as a light mage and guildmaster. If you need another temporary teacher please let me know.”

Jade holds up a finger.

"Same for me. We had been rejected by the previous head master of the academy. So hopefully we can try again now that the position has changed hands."

Jade thinks for a moment.

"Head master, do you have anyone in the academy who might be knowledgeable about the area here in the academy? Even if they know only of how to better survive during our journey in the desert, it would be much appreciated. "

"I'll keep you both in mind for the future. Thank you for your generous offer." The Headmaster tilts his head, thinking a moment. "Of all my professors, I don't know of one that knows the desert at all. But if anyone had any insight it would be our Keeper of the Library." He holds up a hand. "Currently, the Library is only accessible to students and Professors so let me fetch her. She doesn't usually like to leave her Library but I'll let her know who her guests are."

He turns on heel and heads back down the hallway.

Tristan clears his throat softly. "So... A Library in the desert huh? Would you bring me any tomes on Fire Magics you happen to find? I'm taking advantage of this new life and honing my skills. If my brother could easily kill me, so could others. I don't know that I'll get to come back again so... Better be prepared." He smiles. "I promise to share with Zinna."
