A quest to unlock the secrets of the sand

Miquella smiles, "Of course I will. We plan on collecting as much as we are able to."

A few moments pass and the Headmaster returns with a man who appears to be human and quite young with dark brown hair.

"Apologies. Our Keeper of the Library is... Busy. But she sent this fine gentleman along to relay any information the library contains on the desert and its inhabitants." The Headmaster steps back and the other man clears his throat.

"My mistress has bade me provide any details I can." He looks a little nervous but as he speaks, he straightens up and folds his hands in front of himself. "I'm probably the most knowledgeable on the area but even I had never heard of a library in the desert. So far, granted I have not read every book in our vast library but so far, none of our tomes contain any information on such a place. It must be very very old. As far as what to expect in the desert, you can expect it to be very hot and very dry. I suggest bringing an excess of water. As far as creatures go, I suspect you'll find those types accustomed to the heat. So probably a lot of fire type creatures. Sand worms are known to be in the area though we don't have exact details on their numbers or even how big they can grow." He looks down awkwardly. "I apologize for the lack of information. We just don't have much information from the desert. There are not many adventurers who return to tell their tales."

Miquella drops his mask and smiles, “That information is very helpful. Thank you for that.” He looks to Jade, “Getting back will be easy for me. Getting there would pose the issue. Unless we can find a fast means of travel. Maybe a winged creature.” He looks for a moment, “I don’t see how fire would be to much of an issue. Unfortunately we don’t have a water mage.”

Tristan ogles Miquella as he takes the mask down. "Oh wow! Your markings! They're beautiful!" He takes a step closer, examining Miquella with obvious interest. "I've only met one other Celestial being and their markings were vastly different. One day you'll have to tell me why that is." He steps back again and smiles. "I'll have plenty of time to study now and I plan to enroll here so you'll know where to find me. Well, either here or the manor anyways."

The brown haired student looks to the Headmaster who gives him an encouraging nod.

The student returns his attention to the group. "I've provided all the information I have at the moment. Thank you for listening."

He bows deeply and then turns and heads back down the hall.

The Headmaster claps his hands together and smiles wide. "So, anything else I can assist with or shall I get to enrolling my newest student?"

He smiles, “I am sure we will have plenty of time now.” He then looks to the headmaster, “That is all I think. Thank you.”

The Headmaster waves Tristan over.

As Tristan passes, "I'll see you both at the dinner!"

Then the two walk together now the hall, their voices slowly fading as they go.

"You'll have to tell me all about your miraculous recovery, Mr. Greyshield. It's not oft a man returns from the grave after so long."

"Eh. Well. It was luck mostly. I guess I just got lost out there in the ether."

"Lost, you say? Well. It certainly is a miracle that you found your way back. So what will you be studying while you're here?"

"Fire magics mostly. I hope to....."

Their voices fade.
