After The Chaos

Kalil smiles at Miquella and nods to Claire as she bows to them and then returns to her work clearing out debris from the common room.

"I'll be honest, I'm not sure how everything is going. I haven't had a chance to talk to Selena so I'm not one hundred percent sure I even know what happened really except that the shadow primarch must be under attack as well. Or was. I don't know if it ever got handled but I'm assuming, since I don't see anything attacking town, that Selena and Wolfrum must have handled it enough for the time being. Kalil takes a breath and rubs his head awkwardly. "I feel really shitty about not being here when everything went down. We weren't even aware anything had happened til we got home. But anyways, Zinna and our new friend, Vesta, want to try to help by doing one of those food handouts again. They wanted to know if you'd like to take part or assist in any way."

Connor opens his eyes and sits up. "After you've all had a chance to rest, of course. We don't want to add to your burden but it may help the people even with the current state of things. Let them see an attack like this won't keep us down and all that. That we are going to rebuild."

He listens to them, in a whisper “Selena is currently upset with the Guild I think. Due to some…disagreements. As for the details of what is happening you may be correct. Since the plans are on lockdown. That means they are under attack.” He then takes a moment to continue listening. Talking normal again, “The guild has stores of food available for these types of instances. (I think like 225 unites?) we will help provide the food, but I recommend partitioning the king for help with food as well. However, we are still in a food shortage, so this is not helping the case. I need to get the tree back.” He looks to Conner, “I have already established a meeting with the Academy to get assistance in rebuilding the guild. However, one of our greatest protections is down right now. As such I will need to figure out a way to get him repaired and running again.”

Kalil folds his arms across his chest as he listens to Miquella and nods. "Yeah. I noticed the outer ward is down or broken. That should be a priority. Without it, the safety of civilians comes to question. I also noticed your giant was out of commission so I can see that being a priority as well." He sighs. "I don't think there's much help I can offer in that regard. I'm not a mage or anything and I barely understand healing. With everything going on, I doubt Selena will be able to offer much assistance right now either. So the Academy is probably a good place to start."

Connor's shoulders slump. "I can help keep people healed but that's the extent of my abilities right now. I do think checking with the King about provisions is a good idea though, see if there is anything he can offer to help with a food handout. There's no telling how many supplies were lost in the attack. With the whole kingdom being in a shortage, we may be out of luck but I think asking is worth a shot."

Kalil leans in and whispers to Miquella. "Is our being here gonna cause a problem for you? Why is Selena upset with the guild? What happened? I mean, she didn't stop us so I guess she's not too mad."

Miquella smiles, “You being here will not upset me I promise. Just…a misunderstanding..I think. Am undead was smites that was Selena, but it wasn’t wearing her colors. I am just going to focus on the guild for a bit.” He the. Takes a moment, “I may need to learn protection rituals to help with the wards. I am an expert at restoration rituals, but not protection yet.”

Kalil nods and leans away again. "Alright good. Well, I don't want to risk Selena's wrath at either of us so I guess we'll get going. Just keep an eye out for a Ramtovi named Vesta. She's gonna be working with Zinna on the food handout so they'll be the best ones to chat with. We'll come help too. I just don't know when they want to do it."

Connor raises his staff and uses it to pull himself off the ground. "Don't be afraid to send me a missive if you need help healing. I'll come help if I can. These are my people too, after all." He smiles as he dusts himself off. "And I'll more than likely have Kalil with me so he can help out too. Just in different ways."

Kalil nods in agreement. "Well, it was good to see you Miquella. Get some rest."

He and Connor wait a moment for any good-byes and then turn and head out of the guild.
