In the Seshtau Embassy...

As soon as they teleport in and Saige breaks into her murderous frenzy, Storm steps back from the group. After Saige turns her attention to Storm, the Draconian throws her hands up in front of herself and locks eyes with the ravenous Saige.

"Woah. Hey there Saige. Easy. It's okay. You're okay. We'll be going back to the library soon okay? We can get as many shiny rocks as you want when we go back okay?" She smiles at Saige and then relaxes her posture as the others get up and begin moving around. "How does that sound Saige? We can get some more concoctions made at Peyote's place while we wait to go back to the library. I collected some pretty good shit out there in the desert so maybe you and Peyote can make something wicked with them."

Saige calms her breathing and stands, brushing bits of torn flesh off of her skirt. Her eyes still burn with anger, but she nods. She silently walks over to Storm, itching to leave the embassy.

Storm holds out an arm for Saige to walk into if she chooses and turns towards the door of the embassy. "So, shall we go back to your tent for awhile? Relax a little? Maybe uh... Get you cleaned up?" She looks over her shoulder at the group and waves before exiting the embassy with an arm draped around Saige's shoulders if she allows it.

Jade orders the ward down for all that wish to exit.

Saige nods and allows Storm to lead her out of the embassy. When they are a good distance away from it, she speaks up.

"They act like Basil..." she sighs. "I know they are trying to protect me. I know. But I hate being tossed around all the time, literally. I'm always getting thrown, pulled away, knocked out, paralyzed. It's not like I don't know what can happen on my own. I can take care of myself, and if I can't, that's my fault. I just wish they would let me make my own decisions instead of taking that choice away from me."

Saige keeps her eyes on the ground.

"I'm sorry. You're always having to put up with me after my bad decisions. I'll apologize to them later, but I'm still mad."

Storm chuckles. "I don't mind being around after shit goes down. I'm in your corner. If I knew for sure I could keep you safe, I would have volunteered to stay behind with you. Miquella would have lost his mind if we both stayed but at least we'd be safe together." She sighs. "I just couldn't trust myself enough to do that for you. We don't know what could be lurking in some centuries old library and I don't have magic to keep the monsters at bay. And I honestly couldn't go through losing someone I care about again. So I'm sorry I didn't back you up in there."
