Saige's Camp

Kalil grins. "I'll see if he wants to join next time. He just wanted to sleep in today."

Storm rolls her eyes. "Oh I bet."

Kalil shrugs and smirks. "Has nothing to do with me. I swear."

Storm laughs. "Anyways, bring him by. Saige and I will find some nice shiny rocks for him. I'm not sure how else to thank him."

Kalil nods. "I'm sure he would love some new rocks. Don't worry about it so much."

Saige raises an eyebrow at their banter, confused, but shakes her head.

"Ooh!" She runs into the tent, rummages around, then comes back out holding a large clear crystal. "Go ahead and take him this one! I found it by the waterfall the other day. And-"

She rummages around some more, and grabs her crayons to draw a picture. It takes her a minute, but she finishes it, examines it, then hands it to Kalil.

"That too!"

Kalil takes the crystal and the picture. He glances at the picture and raises an eyebrow before folding it up and putting it in his pocket. He sighs and stands up. "Okay. I'll leave you two alone. Same time next week? We'll get more... into it next time. I just wanted to see what I was working with."

Saige nods. “Sure. And don’t forget Connor! Be safe! Don’t die!”

She waves to Kalil as he leaves, then gives Storm a kiss, leading her back to the tent to have a lazy day.

The next morning, Storm awakes to the sound of paper fluttering in her face. Drowsily she reaches out and snatches the paper from the air. She rubs her eyes and yawns, blinking a few times before she attempts to read the letter. She reads the letter once and then again before she folds it up and slips it in her pocket. Yawning again, she turns and gently shakes Saige.

"Morning, Saige.... I know you might not be up for it this early but... We've been summoned." She stretches and yawns, watching Saige as she stirs.

Saige doesn’t open her eyes but groans in response. “Who? What?”
