Saige's Camp

Charlotte chuckles. "No. Nothing like that. I promise."

She leads them through the embassy and down the streets of Foresetidale until they reach the safe house. Upon reaching the safe house, the knights guarding the front door bow deeply to the Baroness and then step aside. Charlotte lowers the ward and opens the door.

Upon opening the door, giggling and chatting float through the room. The air has a general happiness about it as the siblings all talk and play, all the found siblings gathered in the living area. The siblings all sit on the floor, gathered around a big fluffy couch where two people sit holding hands.

A deep voice and laughter reach Saige's ears and dark eyes look up at their entrance. Ruvean jumps from his seat and rushes across the room to sweep Saige into his arms. Before he knows it, tears stream down his face as he holds his youngest tight in his arms.

"Saige!!! MY SAIGE!!!"

"DAD!!!" Saige immediately clings to her father, holding him tightly, like he would disappear if she let go. She begins sobbing, the emotions of the past several weeks finally reaching a breaking point. "You were- you were-" She can't get the words out and cries even harder.

Charlotte stands off to the side, her arms crossing her chest but she smiles.

Storm also stands off to the side, letting them have their moment.

The rest of the room looks on as the two embrace and Sylissa wipes a few tears from her own eyes. Lavender, meanwhile, breaks down into sobs and Rosemary rubs her back gently.

Ruvean squeezes Saige to him. "I know...
I know... Things got so... Chaotic. But it's alright now, Saige. I'm here. I'm here..."

Charlotte blinks back her own tears and clears her throat but just continues to watch.

After a few minutes, Saige's sobbing starts to calm down and she's able to speak again.

"B-but how? How are you here? Miquella wouldn't do it-" She grits her teeth through the tears and turns back to Charlotte and Storm, not letting go of her dad quite yet. "Was it... Was it him?"

Charlotte nods. "It was Miquella and Jade. They worked together to bring him back." She sighs and unfolds her arms but remains where she is. "I don't think he has any ill will towards you, Saige. I think this was his way of showing you he is still your friend."

Storm says nothing and looks between Charlotte and Saige.

Ruvean wipes at his tears, still not relinquishing his hold of Saige. "I'm still not quite sure I understand what's going on but I'm happy you're here Saige. I've missed you so much."

Saige snarls out, "He is not my friend."

She looks conflicted, rests her head on her dad's shoulder for a minute, then takes a deep breath.

"Sorry, Charlotte. I didn't mean to snap at you..." She holds out her hand for Storm, and motions for both her and Charlotte to come sit with the family, if they choose.

"I have a lot to catch you all up on. I know not everyone is here yet, and I'm working on that, but I owe you an explanation."
