Saige's Camp

Selena and Edgar arrive shortly after the message is sent. Selena once again dressed in leather and chainmail armor, leaving just her neck, upper chest and fingers exposed.

As they're escorted, Edgar does most of the chit chatting with the knight as Selena follows.

Once in the room, Edgar gives his typical bows and greetings to Jade and Charlotte, then Saige and Storm and a less formal greeting to everyone else.

Selena looks around to everyone, her hand going to rest on the pommel of her sword, though her demeanor seems to remain mostly blank. Not angry, but definitely tired.
"I've been summoned?"

Charlotte waves and dips her head to Selena and Edgar. "Hello, Knightmaster. Sir Edgar."

Storm bows to the both of them.

Valerian who was giving Jade googly eyes turns his attention to Selena now. His jaw drops as he looks between Jade and Selena and he immediately goes to dig around in his pocket.



"I can have multiple wives, right?" He mumbles mostly to himself before looking up and presenting both Jade and Selena with a rock, wiggling his eyebrows at them. "Ladies, does this impress you?"

As he is presenting the stone, Fennel grabs a broom and begins sweeping the floor behind them, mumbling about people messing up his clean space.



Rosemary begins chatting about how she wants to travel and put on shows and asking if either of them would allow her to.



Lavender looks around and begins crying.



The twins chitter to one another and begin digging around in their pouches.



Basil stares at the newcomers, leaning against the doorframe of the kitchen.



Ruvean and Sylissa rise from the couch and bow before returning to their seats. Sylissa begins excitedly introducing everyone.




All of this happens all at once.

Jade looks a tad overwhelmed while taking in everything. She looks down at the rock being presented to her.

"Oh... So this is a family thing? Thank you?"

She picks it up but just holds it while trying to process the chaos and failing.

Selena looks around, a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people. Looking to Valerian with a quirked eyebrow, glancing to Edgar as he steps between them, preventing Valerian from getting closer, before she looks back at him and his rock and shakes her head. "No."

Turning her attention back to Saige and Jade. "Do we need to go somewhere more private to discuss things? Whatever it was you wanted to tell me and need my help with?"

Saige just looks around smiling, a nostalgic look on her face.

“We can go to one of the back rooms, if that works for you!” She raises her voice so everyone can hear her, but still pretends like she’s talking to just Selena. “You don’t still have that thing that does all the scary magic stuff and blows people up immediately when they eavesdrop do you?? Because that would be really bad! My siblings are unfortunately bad at sneaking where they shouldn’t, and it would be a shame if they exploded. Don’t tell them I said that though!”

She gives an exaggerated wink to Selena.

Selena raises her eyebrow at Saige, glancing to Jade, then around the room before back to Saige. "I do still have the sword that eats people that piss me off. That good enough to keep hyper nosey monsters where they belong?" also raising her voice so the little ones hear her.

Edgar leans in to whisper to Selena in draconian and she just shrugs in response.
