Saige's Camp

Edgar looks confused as he looks at Jade, then Selena. "Eyeliner? I.. I didn't know eyeliner was a requirement. I don't know how to put on eyeliner."

selena chuckles and rolls her eyes, patting him on the arm. "I'm sure Zinna will be more than happy to help."

"Chicken skeleton?"
"Chicken skeleton?"
They both question at the same time, looking to Jade, then Selena shakes her head and turns towards the door. "Nevermind. I don't think I want or need to know. I'm going to go home and look for Laurel."

Edgar snorts a chuckle and moves with her towards the door. Selena looking to Charlotte to escort/ let them out.

Storm shrugs. "No updates on the poacher situation. Still waiting for them to come to me."

Charlotte nods to Selena, snapping out of her own thoughts, and follows them back to the main room where she orders a Knight to escort them back to the portal. Then Charlotte returns to the room, still seemingly in her own thoughts.

Saige runs back into the room, chuckling manically.

"Okay okay. That's done! Thanks Jade." She smiles at Jade, then turns to Zuigrii and points. "I'm still frustrated with you, but I want to be friends still, and also I'm adopting you."

She nods, then crosses her arms.

Zuigrii blinks a few times before dropping his shoulders with a sigh. “You didn’t feel comfortable enough talking to me twice now. I understand a lot was going on but you would rather attack me than talk to me. If you would rather attack than talk then I don’t know if I’m doing enough to deserve being your friend. What have I done wrong? I know you weren’t raised in a city but neither was I. If anyone was going to understand you I think it would be me but something is stopping that. What have I done that is keeping you from being my friend? What can I do to earn my friendship rock back?”

"You took away my choices and my freedom, and I attacked you instead of talking. So we've both been kind of shitty to each other..." Saige frowns. "I can't promise that I'll stop attacking you. Kalil is working on that with me. But I'm going to try and be a better friend to you. I just ask that you try and respect my decisions."

She sighs.

"I've spent my whole life with overbearing siblings, and you act just like them. Which is why I'm adopting you. But I'm trying to show them now that I can take care of myself. And you need to learn that too."

She retrieves his friendship rock from her bag and holds it out.

"Will you be my friend again?"

“Saige, you and I grew up in worlds where it’s either act immediately or risk injury or hunger. We aren’t in that world anymore. I’ve had trouble adjusting as well some. I’m not trying to take away your choice. I just want us to slow down because neither of us is getting told the full story. I know you’re smart. You are one of the best alchemists I know. You’re not dumb. You just sometimes act before knowing the whole story and sometimes that can be dangerous. I’m not trying to take away choices. Just slow them down. I’m sorry if that’s not how I made it feel but that’s what I’ve been trying to do. I know you can handle yourself. If anything I’m scared I won’t be able to keep up. It’s why I wanted to get the stuff from the underdark. So I could stand by your side with less fear.”
