Fairy party

"Purple man? What purple man?" Mari rolls her eyes and digs around in her pouch pulling out a couple of vials, handing them to Saige. "Those should help. What purple guy? I have no idea how to start looking for them."

Saige downs the vials without a second thought.

“Oh you know, the purple man that ate that mouse. When Lady Jade cut off her head, he was like, ‘come through this portal with me I’m purple and pretty’” She does an exaggerated impression of Maximillian. “But I was like, ‘ew no magic is stupid plus I have to go find this old man’ and I walked back to town.”

Saige thinks for a minute before adding, “Or maybe that guy who closed the portal that I jumped in? Maybe he makes portals too? I don’t remember his name though.”

"Oh that purple man." She shudders and shakes her head. "I don't know. I tend to avoid that group. They like dark gross things. I'm going to have to tell my Baron about this. I gotta find my auntie too."
She puts her finger to her chin and taps it a few times.
"Ok. Might have been the purple red and black guy. Might have... wait, the guy that closed the portal? Marquanthis I think is his name. He's from the light guild. He seemed pretty tired after that weird magic shit when I took him back to the guild."

“I don’t know anybody else who works with portals. Though I don’t know a lot of people here yet.” Saige suddenly looks concerned. “If I keep meeting people, I’m going to have to get a lot more rocks. That’s so many rocks…”

She turns to Mari, the concerned look replaced with a curious one. “What is an auntie? Someone who likes ants?” Saige grins at the thought.

"I don't know a lot of people either. Tend to avoid them. Prefer to stay in my trees." She smiles back at Saige.
"My auntie's like my mom. She taught me everything about how to commune with the animals and plants."
She smiles proudly, then shrinks again.
"And she's gonna be sooo mad I lost so many fairies!" She grabs each side of her head, once again starting to freak out.

Saige pats Mari’s shoulder supportively and says, “I’m sure it will be okay!”

She digs through her bag, searching for a shiny rock to comfort her elf friend.

“When I lose things, my mom just says, ‘Saige, don’t fret over lost things or the spikey bone man will get you!’ and then she gives me a button. Maybe your mom will give you a button too, and then we can go search for the fairies together!”
