An explanation for a complex emotion

"Oh I would love to see your fami... Excuse you?"

Jade's eyes widen and she stumbles over her words.

"I uh.. well..."

“Yeah, you could totally get married to Basil, I’ll introduce you and then you can show me how the love thing works. Then you’ll have experienced it and I can understand it better!”

Saige smiles excitedly.

"I would enjoy meeting everyone but let's not entertain marriage. One step at a time Saige."

Jade places a hand over her heart and closes her eyes and sighs again.

“Speaking of my family, can we resurrect my dad now?”

Saige looks pleadingly at Miquella.

“We need more time. This attack took a lot out of us.”

Jade grabs Saige by the hand and squeezes.

"It will take time. Miquella needs to do his guild duties first."

Jade nods to Miquella.

"We will be back another time. I have 100 skeletal forces in town helping rebuild. If you need us in any way send one of them to get me."
