An explanation for a complex emotion

“Storm!”

Saige runs over and grabs her arm, bringing her closer to the group.

“We were going to get Saffron and Sorell because they were right outside the city, and got attacked by the poachers. Androck was with us and even his ass got kicked. Right Storm?”

Her face borders helplessness and annoyance.

“I can’t go get them with the poachers out. Not by myself anyway. I need the two of you to help me.”

"Good afternoon Storm."

Jade smiles at the friendly face.

"We can look for your family a little later. Let's make sure the ones that have been found are safe and settled first. Maybe they would have something to go on to help find the others."

Storm sighs. "Okay so... We were only trying to go get her siblings. The- Uh. Well. Uh. So someone helped us figure out where they were and the twins were right outside the city playing with some fire creature that I assume came out of that summoning circle and we went to go get them. Well, on the way out there, the poachers attacked us! They mostly seemed to be after Zuiigri but we had to defend ourselves!" She glances down at Saige and then back to Miquella. "We weren't going after the poachers. Nah. That's... there's something else we have planned for that but they attacked us while we were just going to get the twins." She shrugs. "We still have her other siblings to find. Well, get. We know about where they are. It's just going to be a bit more difficult to get them if the poachers are after Zuiigri and he's with us."

He pinches the bridge of his nose, “We need to check the laws.”

“There is a difference between ethically right and lawfully right. I need to be carful as guildmaster before acting against them. I need to verify though. They physically tried to attack you? Meaning they were avoiding Zuigrii to go after you both.”
