Two haltija walk into town

Roman looks a little uncomfortable as Zinna circles him, and blushes when he realizes she is examining him closely, but still keeps his hands at his sides. He bows to her when she stops walking around him.

"Uh... H-hello Princess Zinna. It's a pleasure to meet you, Qot Roreg. I know undeath makes some people uncomfortable but I appreciate that it is accepted here in this place. I can and will respect your request. It is soon to be your kingdom after all. I just hope that despite your dislike, you won't take after Leib Olmai..." His eyes drift to Edgar and he raises an eyebrow. "F-forgive me but... What are you?" He examines Edgar without stepping closer. "I've never seen anyone with scales before. I hope it's okay to ask. It's not my intention to be rude. I'm just... Fascinated."

"He's a dragon!"
"Not a dragon. Just a draconian."
"We don't know you're not a dragon. Ba didn't know Papa Dàsh was a dragon..."
"ùmtaw..." Edgar says to Zinna and takes a step towards her, then shakes his head as she closes her mouth and stifles a chuckle. Edgar rolls his eyes and turns his attention to Roman, moving to show off the scales on his arms. "Draconian. Most of us are born connected to an element and I got these sweet icey scales."

Roman steps closer to Edgar to observe his scales and then steps back again. "Well, it is a pleasure to meet you as well. I've never met a Draconian before. Or a Dragon. Though I have heard of them. I've just never had them described to me." He looks at Jade and then at Saige, digging around in her bag. "It really is a pleasure to meet you all. I... Have not had the opportunity to make many friends but I hope that changes here." He smiles.

"What a beautiful sunny day for a stroll... How dreadful..."
The voice comes from the direction of the Weeping Rose Tavern. As attention shifts to it's source, the familiar form of Maximilian saunters into view.
He is dressed in formal mage robes that appear to be loosely covering his bare chest and soft leather pants. At his side is his black and silver longsword and his shield proudly displaying his baronial colors of black and red is slung across his back.
He approaches the group with a sharp smile from underneath his drawn hood.
"Baroness, Guildmaster, friends..." He looks questionably at Saige, "Oh, you look particularly uncomfortable... Here..."
He pulls the shield off his back and straps it on his arm. As he does, a Zone of Darkness surrounds him and extends several feet in all directions. He stands so that the zone envelopes Saige but is careful not to include anyone else in it's range.
Seeing Roman, the Half Fiend's eyes widen. He turns to him and offers a formal bow from his waist.
"Talorte, iviprun intif... It is a pleasure to formally make your acquaintance."

Miquella stands stalwart as the zone is created. He takes a deep breath in and looks to the ground. When he exhales he smiles once again. He rubs the ring on his hand as he looks to the group.

Roman's eyes light up as Maximillion speaks to him and he takes an excited step into the zone of darkness. [In Haltijan] "Oh wow! You speak Haltijan?! Hello! It's a pleasure to meet you! My name is Roman! You speak so fluently! Where did you learn to speak Haltijan?! Wait... Is that appropriate to ask? Maybe I shouldn't ask that. What's your name? I see you wear the same colors as the Baroness. Does that mean you're one of her friends too?" Roman stops suddenly and looks away, blushing. [Still in Haltijan] "Apologies. I don't mean to get so excited. It's just that I haven't had many people to practice our language with except for the Lady Katalina. It was hard to get any practice in Leib Olmai since we were always hiding."
