Two haltija walk into town

Maximilian raises an eyebrow at Saige as she leans but doesn't say anything. Instead, he turns his attention back to Roman.
{In Haltijan}"Have you met the best little Sir yet?"
With his free hand, he reaches into the pouch on his side, digging around for a moment before making an "ah!" sound and withdrawing a slightly decayed severed finger. He wiggles it toward Jade and clicks his tongue several times.
"Charles! Chaaaaaaaaaaarles! Where are you, buddy?"

Roman snickers at Maximillion's comment about the "fleshies".

[In Haltijan] "Thank you for the invitation. Perhaps I'll take you up on it soon. Baroness Jade is insisting I study more to improve my abilities."

When Maximillion draws the finger out of his bag for Charles, Roman lights up again. [In Haltijan] "I have met Charles. He was a very good companion after some very awful things happened."

He smiles as he waits to see Charles emerge.

A little undead squirrel head pops out of Jade's side satchel. He looks around and then locks his eyes on the rotting finger. He climbs out of the pouch and jumps towards Roman. Charles grabs onto his sleeve and climbs up to his shoulders. He perches and holds out his little paws for the snack all while chittering.

Maximilian reaches over and places the finger in the little squirrel's paws. After he takes the snack, Maximilian scratches Charles behind his ears, darkness magic snaking down his fingers.
{In Haltijan}"Such a good little Knight."
The Half Fiend reaches back into his pouch and produces another appendage, this one appearing to be a toe. He offers it to Roman.
{In Haltijan}"Would you like to feed him?"

Roman smiles excitedly. Yes! Absolutely! Thank you!"

He takes the toe and holds it up to Charles. "Thank you for the other day, little friend."

Zinna visibly restrains a gag and turns away from the group to head towards the portal muttering in Tovi.

Edgar sighs and picks up the wood, slinging it onto his shoulder and follows after Zinna waving to the group as he leaves.
