A gentle sea breeze wafts through the port city of Volaire as the sun ascends, casting a warm glow over the cobblestone streets. The usual hustle and bustle of the city is muted, replaced by a tense anticipation. The grand Meeting Hall, often a place of laughter and celebration, stands solemn and imposing, ready to host a gathering that will determine the fate of one among them.
The towering double doors of the hall are open, flanked by vigilant Kingdom Guards stationed at intervals. Clad in gleaming armor, each guard bears the kingdom's seal on their breastplates and wields an ornately crafted sword and a shield adorned with the Ariadnian Coat of Arms. Their presence adds to the gravity of the occasion, especially after the attack during the previous court session involving Claire Baker.
Security has been significantly heightened. Extra guards, both human and non-human, are positioned strategically around the perimeter. They are equipped with enchanted armor that shimmers subtly, providing protection against both physical and magical attacks. Each guard wears an amulet that detects concealed weapons and active magic, ensuring no one enters with harmful intentions.
As attendees approach the hall, they pass through a series of protective wards. These wards glow briefly as individuals pass, indicating their successful detection of any malicious enchantments or illusions. Kingdom Guards scrutinize each person, checking their credentials and ensuring they pass through unhindered. The increased scrutiny extends to a thorough examination of personal belongings, with magical sigils verifying the authenticity of identification documents.
Inside the hall, the walls are adorned with sconces holding ethereal blue flames that cast a ghostly, sapphire light across the wooden benches arranged in neat rows. At the far end, a raised platform commands attention, crowned by a crescent-shaped table between two braziers emitting the same blue fire. Tall, intricately designed chairs encircle the table, facing the gathered benches below. At the center of this arrangement, a podium stands with heavy chains and shackles, a stark reminder of the trial's gravity.
Servants move quietly, setting out glasses and pitchers of water and ale. As the first nobles arrive, they exchange hushed greetings, their usual camaraderie replaced by the seriousness of the day's proceedings. The Kingdom Nobility, each with their own air of authority and responsibility, take their seats upon the platform.
Marquanthis, the Guild Second of the Guild of Light, is among the first to arrive. He settles at the table's edge, replacing the provided glass of water with his own earthen teacup. With hands folded, he waits in composed silence for the others to join.
King Vlastimir enters, his presence commanding the room. He takes his place at the center of the crescent table, his gaze firm and unyielding. Following him is Lord Seneschal Claude Faustus, his elegant black tailcoat, white gloves, and polished black boots exuding a dignified aura. He sits to the king's right, his expression one of stern focus.
Baroness Charlotte Greyshield of Forsetidale, known for her wisdom and fairness, takes her seat to the king's left. Her long, wavy red-brown hair cascades over her shoulders, and her attire in blue and yellow reflects the colors of her industrious barony.
Kethri Starling, the acting Guildmistress of the Mage's Guild, arrives with an air of quiet strength. Her long, pale black hair and small stature make her stand out among the nobles. At 4' 6", she is often seen scrambling around the Mages Guild, assisting in rituals and research. Though she reluctantly accepted the title of Guildmistress, she has taken to the job out of duty, much to her own surprise. She nods respectfully before taking her place.
Lyra Okami, the Guildmistress of the Artisan's Guild, enters with a grumpy and standoffish demeanor. Her brunette hair is tied back in a messy bun, and her attire reflects her work at the forges. She greets those around her with curt nods before settling into her seat.
Baron Linneus Golenaire of Tuatha strides in last, his attire adorned in green and beige, representing the natural balance and respect of his barony. He takes his seat with a nod of acknowledgment to his fellow nobles.

Miquella makes his way in unmasked flanked by two members of the Guild of Light. The Guild Protector Lorielle and Harrold. Hushed tones can be heard from them and he nods to Marquanthis. Finding his assigned seat. He looks around the room and give a notable acknowledgment to all present.
“Baron Linneus. Good to see you once again.” He smiles warmly.

As Charlotte takes her seat on the king's left, Knightmaster Fallin can be seen entering and standing behind her. He keeps his attention and gaze straight ahead of him. Bowing to the King before he takes his position.
A few minutes after the Baron's and Guildmaster's arrive, Queen Sofira is escorted inside of the Meeting Hall with Amrynn right beside her and a contingency of Elven guards around her, all bearing the Kingdom's colors of blue and purple on favors or armor. She takes a seat on the crescent platform in the VIP section after giving the king a curtsy of greeting. Armynn takes a seat beside her while their guards form a semi circle behind them.
Kalil can be seen entering after the Queen and he takes a seat in the provided area behind the crescent seating for the Noble Court. He sits close to, but not directly beside, the Queen and her defense.
Storm enters taking a seat on the front row provided for those witnessing.

Knightmaster Selena enters followed by Ser Edgar close behind. She takes silent note of the added security, and gives the king a subtle head nod of appreciation before turning to the rest of the nobles present for her and Edgar to exchange formal greetings.
Selena's demeanor is a bit more friendly and relaxed with Charlotte, Kethri, and Miquella, but she keeps her interactions short yet still appropriately warm and polite with Lyra and Linneus. For her sake as well as theirs.
Once they've finished their round of greetings, Selena and Edgar make their way over to the king and his seneschal. Selena and Edgar both salute the king and bow, and once released Selena moves closer to the king and the seneschal and speaks with them in whispers for a moment while Edgar remains a few feet back standing at attention.

“I heard of the gathering that is happening soon. I have talked to one of your Knightmasters. I look forward to visiting your Barony once more.” His smile is one of genuine. He fiddles with his ring and looks over all those who have arrived. “If you have time I would love to discuss a few things with you after all of this. Get your insight on a few things.” He will gives a slight bow and sit down
