Noble Court - June of 622

Miquella looks around and hears the different people talking. He then proceeds to speak, "I do not believe I can contribute to this on where it is at. My nature introduces a bias opinion on it therefore I cannot give a suitable response." He bows politely to those in the room and then proceeds to sit down. Pulling out the small trinket and moving it between his fingers.

Rachelle's cheeks flush and she looks down into her lap, remaining silent.

Dorian clears his throat. "After the story we have heard today, I do believe that the charges against this woman should be conspiracy to commit treason. A lesser charge but not by much." He glances at the mother in chains. "I agree that her children should be in the custody of the orphanage. She deliberately placed them in danger with her choices and has admitted to leaving them on their own on more than just the one occasion."

Dorian turns his attention back to the other nobles, locking eyes with his son for the briefest moment before moving on to the others. "While I do not like undeath, I believe Jade's, I apologize, Lady Jade's suggestion would teach the intended lesson, and show the kingdom that we take treason seriously, yet we are capable of mercy." He turns to look at Claire. "Because this is mercy." He returns his gaze to the other nobles. "As for where she should spend her sentence, I would agree to either serving the Faceless One or Seshtau. I believe either location would be suitable. Seshtau can always use the extra hands in it's recovery."

He turns to Jade. "You said the Faceless One intends to collect a life debt? I offer my own life force in place of Claire's. I am strong enough to return, she is not."

"I offered my life force originally to the faceless one but they did not take it. I am not saying don't try, I am just saying don't be surprised if they refuse."

Selena snaps her attention to him as Dorian offers his own life, then to Jade. "If they just wants life force, I have plenty bottled I can bring them. No one actually needs to die. At least no one who had nothing to do with the treason anyway." She locks eyes with Dorian, then back to Claire. "No more innocent lives need be lost because of the actions of an idiot."

Jade shrugs

"They didn't specify who's life force but I do think they want to make a point more then they want a life. But I do think having the faceless one turn this woman would be good enough. It is a metaphorical life."

Dorian meets Selena's stare then looks to Jade. "If we believe that turning Miss Baker would fulfill the life debt, then I agree that there does not need to be any more innocent blood shed." He looks back at Selena and gives her the hint of a smile before his stone face returns. "Does anyone else have anything to add or suggest?"

Claire cries softly as the nobles discuss her punishment.
