Noble Court - June of 622

Placing his swords back into their scabbard "you got it, boss." He says as he puts his boot onto the unconscious man's chest. " I'm still curious as to what made this grand entrance, because the folks that have to fix that big gaping hole are going to be pissed off and I want to be around to see it...milady" He says with a slight bow of his head.

Jade fakes a gag at the words.

"Ew don't say that. Also you will definitely get to see it all. I'm not sure why it happened but I'm ready to put on a show."

She says as she pulls out her blood stained hatchet.

Marquanthis rushes over to Miquella's side, his hands glowing with light energy as he approaches. He kneels down beside him and places his hands on the fallen man's head and chest, chanting incantations as bright light washes over the Planar Knight.

King Vlastimir waves away the entourage of protectors and steps out onto the platform. He raises his voice over the dull clamor filling the hall, "Friends, friends... your attention, please. These are dire circumstances that we face. Lady Selena must be returned and these crimes answered for. To attack a noble court in session is an act of war. Not to mention the murder of Baroness Eclipse of Seshtau. We have tolerated the Planar Knights so long as they have not interfered with the Kingdom and her people without attending proper channels."

The leather clad man accompanying the king starts to whisper in Vlastimir's ear only to be waved away as he continues his speech. "No one on this court wants to take any action that would lead us to war, but we also cannot stand idly by in response to this horrid offense."

Vlastimir's companion urgently tries to whisper to the king once more and is again waved away, "I am hereby commanding the baronies and guilds of the Ariadnian Empire to prepare for conflict. I would also like a small group of volunteers to infiltrate the Planar Knight keep and secure Lady Selena. I will not waste time and resources attempting to parlay with these villains after this egregious display of disregard for the sanctity of our kingdom."

He begins hurriedly walking toward the carriage waiting outside, being ushered by his escort of soldiers. "Anyone capable and willing to undertake this task, speak with any of my soldiers. May The Sisters be merciful."

With that, Vlastimir boards the carriage and with a sharp crack of the reigns, the ornate vehicle speeds off.

*looking at lady Jade.* "with your permission, I'd like to volunteer for this infiltration mission." He says while gripping the hills of his swords. " I feel as if its my duty...milady." He says with a sly smirk, know that the title bothers her.

Jade sighs at the tease and then smiles.

"OH if you thought you had a choice you were severely mistaken. We both are going to see this through and ruin their poorly thought out plans."

Jade kneels down with her hatchet waiting for the man to regain consciousness to begin interrogation.

Miquella kneeling down beside the body listening to those around him. “Thank you Marquanthis.” Miquella begins to search the body for anything of value. Papers, body markings, bottles, ect.. he seems almost fixated on finding markings on the warriors skin.
