Fighting off hunger

Miquella makes his way up the stairs of the guild of light. “Outer ward down.” He makes his way in and a few moments later he and a group of volunteers start to bring out tables, bowls, and spoons. Another group brings out a large pot, wood, and stone and starts a fire while the pot hangs above it. The tables are being adjusted to maximizes efficiency for what is to come. Once all the volunteers are finished setting things up another group brings out a crate. He nods his head and wipes the sweat off his forehead. “Outer ward up” the ward of the guild appears once more. He then looks to different groups of volunteers, “Spread the word. A bowl of soup is available at the guild of light. It will be ready by sundown.” He begins to clean the tops of the table while he waits patiently for additional volunteers.

A portal opens up near the light guild, and out steps Zinna followed by a handful of other humans in brightly colored clothes who file out and move to predetermined positions either setting up a spot for them to play music, or over with the food to begin preparing and cooking.

Zinna is wearing a pair of plain black harem pants, and a red tank top with a white apron over it. Hanging from her belt on the side is her black and white favor. She speaks in tovi to the music players and they begin to play a soft calming tune as she moves over to check on the jugs of tea she's prepared as someone else sets them on the table. "Yes. Dis is good. Pass a cup of dis out to anyone in line waiting. It will help quest thirst, and keep everyone calm while they wait." She says to one of the ladies she's brought who nods her head and begins filling cups.

Zinna continues making her rounds directing her people then finally makes it over to the cooking area, smiling to Miquella. "Hello. I brought help. Kalil and Connor will be here soon." She says as she starts to gather ingredients and chop them up.

Kalil and Connor walk up to the Guild together, hand in hand. Behind and around them in a semi circle are ten other soldiers. Everyone present is dressed in a simple tunic and pants with a black and white favor hanging on their belts. Connor wears a white tunic and Kalil wears black. No one is wearing armor and there are no visible weapons on any hips.

Kalil stops at the main table and smiles at Miquella. "Brought some extra hands. Where do you want us?"

Miquella wipes his hands with a clean cloth and smiles, “That’s good to hear. I have some of the volunteers of the guild going around the city now to let people know. When they come back they will assist with line management as well, and handing out food. Jade should be coming as well to help cook. I have another pot incase you all need it over there. (He points to another large pot sitting next to the crate with food) The food in that crate should assist with tonight. I have more for the rest of the week in the Guild.” He says with a genuine smile.

Miquella looks to Kalil and Conner, “oh good you’re here! Kalil it may be best for you to be out in the crowd with your soldiers, helping anyone that needs it and making small talk if you can, help keep the line in order to the best of your ability. Conner you should help pass food out to those that come up here, behind this group of tables. That way if stuff goes south. You can go to the guild faster.” Miquella smiles as he keeps busy.

A shadow slinks up from behind the tavern and begins to form a person. It's Jade and she is wearing a simple cotton black dress with a red apron. Her hair is pulled back into a tight bun. She walks up to the group to greet everyone.

"Sorry it took me so long. I was getting some side work done. But I'm ready now. How can I help?"
