Heading to Foresetidale

The twins stop running and look at each other then turn to face Saige and stick out their tongues, pulling down their cheek to widen the one eye at her too. Then they resume their play by running down one of the halls and everyone can hear a door slam shut then giggling.

Meanwhile, stomping down the opposite hall, comes Basil. He huffs in frustration as he enters the living area.

"There is no way out of this place. I've tried every door, every window, even tried climbing the chimney." His eyes widen as he sees Saige and he smiles. "Saige! I'm so happy to see you! And you found the twins! It's good to have them safe as well. Any news on Dad?"

Saige sticks her tongue out back at them and smiles as they run off. When Basil enters the room, she runs and tackles him into a hug. She laughs and spins him around towards Jade and Storm.

"We'll talk about that in a minute, for now I want you to meet someone!"

She drags him over to where her friends are standing.

"You've already met Storm, but this is Jade and she's amazing and pretty and is really good at fighting and has a squirrel friend! You should talk to her."

Before either of them can say anything, Saige grabs Storm's hand and pulls her over to her mom, grinning.

"Mom, this is Storm, you saw her briefly when we saved you but she's my favorite person in the whole world!"

Saige starts to say more but puts a hand on her chest. She tries to hide the blush on her cheeks.

Basil almost tumbles backward as Saige tackles him in a hug and then looks a little whiplashed as she leaves him with Jade and rushes off towards their mother.

"Ah. Hello. It's a pleasure to meet you, Jade." He clears his throat as he glances between Jade and Saige behind her. "So.... You have a squirrel friend?"

Knightmaster Fallin just smiles and leans his back against the far wall, folding his arms across his chest as he takes in the reunion.

Storm blushes a little at the praise. "Your daughter is quite amazing. She saved my butt on a few occasions. It's really quite an honor to fi- work alongside her. You raised a talented, creative, and beautiful daughter ma'am." She turns to look at Saige and smiles.

Jade looks up at Basil nervously.

"Oh yes, uh, hello. I've heard quite a lot about you. And yes, I do have a squirrel friend. But you may want to meet him another time. I'm not sure now is the right time..."
