Heading to Foresetidale

"So... My friend Miquella, he's a healer, and our new brother by the way, but he does all the weird magic stuff. But I've learned! Magic isn't as bad as soup. Or spoons. Or books. I still don't like it, but it can heal people. So bringing Dad back would be with magic, but it would be fine, and then he'd be back, and I'll go get everyone else, and then we'll be together again, and you could build another house somewhere, and you could meet all the orcs I adopted, and I'm going to build a place with Storm where people can come stay, and we can have family music nights with all my new friends in Volaire, and..."

Saige starts to tear up.

"Everything will be okay. I just... I just have to fix it."

Fallin leans away from the wall when Sylissa addresses everyone about finding her family. "We're going to do our best to help find your family and keep everyone safe." He smiles reassuringly.

Basil steps up beside Jade and folds his arms across his chest while Saige describes how they will help his father. "I don't like it. Nothing good ever comes out of magic. I want Dad back. I just... Worry he won't come back right. Magic is not trustworthy. Even if your friend is."

Jade shoots Basil a disapproving look. She closes her eyes and takes a deep sigh. She walks over to Saige and wraps her arms around her.

"Saige it's ok. We will find a way. You don't have to shoulder this burden alone. I and all of our friends are here to help you."

Saige hugs Jade back, looking anxious. After a moment, she sighs.

"Why did everything have to go to shit at the same time? My family being attacked, the town being destroyed, Zuigrii getting skinned by those damn poachers, Miquella being moody as ever..."

Saige turns to Basil, looking slightly annoyed.

"Basil... I can't even argue about magic right now. It's nowhere near the top of the list of concerns. We can talk about it later. Right now my priority is getting everyone here."

She slaps her hands on her cheeks a few times.

"Okay okay. I know exactly where Valerian is, unless he decided to move in the last day or so. Ginger is in a village in Tuatha. Storm and I requested a meeting so we can try and narrow down which one. Then we can go get her. Zuigrii is helping me send missives to Laurel and Anise, so Jasper should already have their exact locations. Cassia is... well. Cassia's going to take some time to get back. But we have a plan in the works, Androck is helping with that."

She nods to Storm and Jade.

"As soon as we leave here we can go get Valerian. Or should we go grab more people? And then there's the whole issue of where to stay. They can't stay in this house forever, Charlotte is being very generous but I don't want to trouble her or Fallin much longer."

"I can offer them land for the family to live on and farm and what not. I cannot offer the noble titles that go along with it but they will have a place to stay. If the swamps are okay with everyone they have dense forest area and plenty of wild game to hunt. After we secure all the family I can find a spot for them. Would that be alright?"

“That would be perfectly fine with me! Is that okay with everyone else?”

Saige looks to her family.
