Miquella sighs, "Compassion is needed. Which is why I was going to give the suggestion of a probation that allowed Saige to effectively control her rage, to train under someone who has learned to control theirs such as Prince Kalil, learn the laws of this nation that she...visits? So often, such as Baroness Jade, and that she be made to find a teacher to help guide her in a path that can allow her to use and control her newfound powers. Such as our neutral alliance with the Lich of the Graveyard."
He shakes his head, "Allowing Saige to continue to act recklessly without a proper check could result in endangering herself or those around her. Which is why this is the opportunity to show the people of this country that we as nobles can be understanding. That yes. We have to be tough at times, and lay down the law, but she did not kill them outright. And I am sure if you were to ask those here such as Baroness Jade and the Citizen Zuigrii and many others who smirk and grin at your comments to me that they did not want this to begin with. But that does not warrant the deed was done. That is something I understand, but I also think about the trial of Claire Baker. How she was sentenced. This is simply a repeat but on different sides and different circumstances. A women who did not know anything about the law and doing what she believed was right, and being punished for it; because, she broke the law."
He looks to the Seneschal and the King, "I believe that Saige should be given the sentence of probation with the previous mentioned terms. I believe that will show that we are willing to view Saige as the 'Political Emissary', which was never made public notice, she now is. I do not believe that she should go unpunished. As doing so will allow future cases to be messy. It will set the future expectation that political emissary can now come into our Kingdom and do as they wish. "
He then looks to the King directly, "As for these newfound allegations to me. I will declare here and now in front of all the nobles of this court. That if you so order I will step down as Guildmaster of the Guild of Light. I would relinquish all powers and controls of the Guild to the Guild Second."

He looks to Connor "As for just giving the charges now...I just found out about the attack at the gathering of hero's. That is why it is not being brought up until now."

"Also me saying I will fix the problems is me taking ownership of the situation. Me stating I will be willing to accept whatever punishment the King wishes for those transgressions is me taking ownership."

Prince Kalil leans forward as the case proceeds, leaning his elbows on his knees and his face in his hands.
Storm folds her arms across her chest and smirks.
The Draconian beside her examines her nails and sighs.
Queen Sofira pays close attention to the ongoings of this case, occasionally leaning in to whisper to Amrynn and he whispers back.
Acting Guildmaster Kethri is smirking and sips from the glass of water before her. Steepling her fingers together and leaning on her elbows as she listens intently.
Baroness Charlotte looks focused. Her expression giving nothing away as she listens to both sides speak their truths.
Knightmaster Fallin does lean forward occasionally and whisper to Charlotte before straightening again, his hand never leaving Truthseeker.

Connor's eyes narrow and the corner of his mouth curls slightly, a look reminiscent of a hunter watching his prey graze too closely to a carefully obscured trap,
"Still you feel the need to divert the misgivings of your own which once again brings to question the reputability of the individual bringing forth these charges in the first place... Guildmaster Miquella, I believe you've lost sight of the reason we're assembled here today. There are two possible outcomes when the Noble Court gathers: Guilty of the charges that were proposed, or Not Guilty."
He tips his chair back and forth absently with his hands, "The charges that were brought against Saige are four counts of Assault and one of Reckless Endangerment. I have challenged your allegations with the simple fact that Saige is not subject to common law due to her involvement with foreign dignitaries. Now, ignoring your offensive, insensitive, and frankly racist earlier comment about sentient pigeons declaring sovereignty, which I hope will not cause international incident in and of itself... Your own opinions aside, the burden of proof is solely upon you. For the charges brought against the defense, do you have any evidence at all that would convince this court that Saige acted in such a way to compromise the security of this nation? To ignore her status and convict her of charges applicable only to those holding no status? Is it worth risking war with the Elves, the Spiders, and the Goblinoids to continue pursuing this absurd path? Is your own house so clean that we should simply accept your judgement on the transgressions accused here? Or should we be asking what, or rather who, has been filling your time of late and what you yourself have done with unbridled power? Can the people truly trust the judgement of a healer who has strayed so far from his path? One who crosses the very veil of death to breathe life into a murderer and traitor to his blood, crown, and country?"

Selena and Edgar remain standing, carefully watching and listening to Miquella and Connor's back and forth. At the mention of the guardian and it's origins, Edgar shoots his eyes to the back of Selena's neck and leans in to whisper to her. She nods and rests her hand on the pommel of her sword and takes a deep breath as the two continue.
As Connor speaks about the differences between his mothers, Selena's once again lets the corner of her lips smile every so slightly.
As connor delivers his last blow the only visible reaction from her is her hand tightening on the pommel of her sword as her eyes dart to Miquella to wait his response.
