I’m not a wannabe mage!

”Very well. I’m looking forward to seeing the lab!”

Astra excitedly follows Miss Kethri.

She opens the door and leads Astra out. When they leave the training room, Kethri continues down the hall a little ways and stops at another door. She opens it and ushers Astra inside.

Inside, the room is quite spacious though that space is overflowing with things. Lining the walls are shelves of various jars full of liquids of every color, jars full of solids that are unidentifiable from this distance, vials, knick knacks, and herbs. There is a large table with beakers, flasks, and a few burners spread across it. It looks like it was used recently because there are beakers with a little remaining liquid in them and a sprinkling of herbs rests on the counter.

Kethri clicks her tongue. "I'll have to have a word with our alchemist. He tends to leave a mess behind."

Astra speed walks around the room, like a child in a candy shop. She looks at all the different herbs, vials, beakers, and tubes with a large smile.

”This is incredible!”

She spins around in place, looking at the endless equipment. She walks close to something in progress, looking at all the herbs, math, and burner.

” I would love nothing more than to meet your alchemist! My lab ends up like this after a making!”

She walks back up to Miss Kethri. ”This only makes me more excited to create, learn, and give my skills the guild!”

Kethri chuckles. "I'll see if I can find her. She's usually not far from this room. It's basically her room after all. Wait here."

Kethri leaves the room.

Several minutes later, the door opens again and Kethri walks in with a companion. She is wearing blue and silver robes that are slightly too big for her and one shoulder droops down. On her hip is a crooked mages guild favor and a wand. She has blonde, disheveled hair and pointed ears with a couple of piercings.

"Hiya! I hear you're our newest recruit!" She holds out her hand, then pulls it back to wipe it on her robes before reaching out again. "My name is Atria Silverleaf. Pleasure to meet you."

Astra takes her hand gently, shaking it, amused as she wipes it. ”Hi! You have a beautiful name, Miss Silverleaf! I’m Astra. I love this whole room, the herbs, the smells, everything.”

Astra dusts herself off a little, doing her best to look a bit more presentable.

"I'm glad you like it! Sorry it's such a mess. I was experimenting." Atria walks over and begins gathering the loose herbs together. "I like to try and make new alchemical mixtures. I haven't been very successful but I'm working on it!" She stops and turns around to face Astra, now holding a bundle of mixed herbs in her fists. "So you like it huh? I take it you're learning alchemy too! How awesome! I may be able to help with that! Or at least, let you use my- the guilds lab."
