Nighttime Drinks

”Nonsense! To me, you were a master! You still are. You taught me much more than the basics, you taught me as far as healing tonics.”

Astra scrambles around in her bag, pulling out a bright green potion. It sparkles in its long bottle.

“It was this exact potion you made that fixed my illness. While mine hasn't been used, it was a mixture of mugwort, lavender, a high level healing potion, and pixie dust!”

She pulls out a few more. Curing potions, pain tonics, poison remedies, and other small ones used for mixing.

”Don’t undersell yourself. You are my elder when it comes to the craft, so I will address you as Master Mendacium.”

“Oh my gosh! Miquella!”

Saige runs over to where Miquella sits, bouncing up and down and her face lit up.

“Do you want to come play this game with us? It’s really fun, I promise! It’s just like home!”

Noticing the elf man that has approached Astra, she excitedly calls to him as well.

“You could play too!”

Miquella jolts forward from Sages excitement. “Oh hello Sage” he smiles at her warmly, “I haven’t seen you since we closed the portal.” He looks at the table to see the game set up. “Uhh what is the game exactly?”

With a devilish grin, Saige replies, ”My brother Valerian calls it ‘Truth or Dare Poison Shots’, if you refuse truth or dare, you have to take a shot of water but some of them are poison! It’s so much fun!”

Miquella finishes his food and stands up. “For you Sage, since you helped me out a lot, I will play a few rounds.” He smiles and lets her lead the way. Then takes a seat. “Just as long as I don’t have to go first.”

Mendacium cocks his head in curiosity at Saige before a letting free a sly grin.

“I know not what game we play, but I’d love to join regardless. If you’d have me, that is.”

He sits, gesturing towards the others. ”Truth or Dar but with poison? Sounds… exciting.”
