When Blodwulf begins, she listens carefully, and let's him finish before she shakes her head. "No. Every one of my soldiers' lives matter to me. Well, cept maybe the undead. But my living soldiers matter. War sucks and can break the strongest of minds, and I'm going to do what I can to help you turn your life around. Executing you would just be a waste of life force."

Miquella turns around briefly at Astra, and then relaxing and shrugs his shoulders. He looks back at Blodwulf, “For what?” He looks confused as he tilts his head slightly.

*picking his head up, he looks at miquella" "I apologize for putting you in such a violent situation, light bright. *a small smile creeps across his face.* You shouldn't have been put in such a postion, since all you want to do is keep peace."

The barkeep brings Miquella his food with a water as requested. He slowly starts to eat his food as Blodwulf talks after he hears his reasoning for an apology Miquella stops, “Listen, I appreciate the apology. At the end of the day I now know what caused you to act the way you did. I am sure under Selena guidance and first rate care (he says with a smirk as he nudges her) you will be able to get full control again.” He goes back to eating his meal.

Mendacium let’s out a sharp and sudden laugh, a strange mixture of mirth, contempt, sadness and fondness. With a smile wide he shakes his head in amusement.

“Master Mendacium?” He stifles another amused noise. ”No, back then I was but another apprentice - and truth be told, by the time I left centuries later I wasn’t too much more.” He glances towards the few potions Astra carries within eyeshot. “Besides; I simply showed you the absolute basics. I can see you have grown much since those simple times.”

He finally allows his attention to be drawn to the small geode, before waving his hand dismissively. There’s a small hesitance in his movements, one quickly swallowed by determination and grim insistence.

”Worry not. It’s nothing remarkable, and to me simply acts as a reminder of something long past. I shall be content knowing you have it.”

His feet shift as he leans to and fro in anxious, tightly strung energy that only seems to grow. His internal echo chamber causes his shifting weight to rock so frequently an observer might think he were aboard a storm-bound ship. Finally, he slows; seemingly finally finding his words and questions.

”While I have you here Miss Cadeum, I must ask; my questions that would typically cause estrangement amongst even strangers are not those I can typically form in the company of the unknown -“ He pauses, seemingly recognizing his rambling as just that.

He sighs, unsure how to continue.

"I don't think that it'll be fully under control. Like I said, someone like that is a boon when the swords start flying, it's just a matter of learning how to tap into that part when need arises. I just want to make things right with the empire. As far as lady Jade is concerned, I don't see her forgiving me or at the very least killing me on site. But, before I try and apologize and try to explain what's happening, I need to gain more control. I fully intend on doing it. It's just not priority number one to me at this very moment. I can't change what I've done, and I can only offer my sincerest of apologies. But that's all I've got, be it in life or death."
