Saige's Training

The twins squeal loudly and flail in Saige's arms. One of them quiets and looks at one of the undead chickens still prancing around and clicks at it. The chicken looks up and charges at Saige's legs, squawking and pecking at her shins. The twins burst out into laughter.

Kalil looks down at his boots and then back up at the twins. "Clearly..."

Sylissa walks up and pats Kalil's shoulder. "They get everyone with that prank at least once..."

Saige looks down as the chicken pecks her shins, then looks to Ruvean with a pout.

"Daaaaaad, tell them that using the chickens is cheating!"

She picks the twins up and moves to stand on a table.

Ruvean laughs heartily. "Okay okay. Call off your chicken, children. I know it's funny but Saige is right, that is cheating... You're supposed to use your teeth!" He bites at the air and laughs.

The twins grin and begin nibbling on Saige's arms. Between bites they click at the chicken and it turns tail and races down the hall. There's a scream from Valerian down the hall.

Storm laughs while Kalil just watches with amusement.

Saige returns the biting in full force, snarling as she plays with her siblings like wild animals. Still stuck to the twins, she rolls over to Fennel and wraps him up in the middle of it, laughing.

"Nononononono! Not my clean clothes!
Fennel yells as he's dragged into the roughhousing but he laughs and plays with them anyways.

Kalil chuckles. "Is this what having siblings is like?"

Storm turns to look at him. "I kinda always thought you had a sibling. Not that I had any clue if it was a brother or sister but... I always thought you had one."

"Nah. It's better that way anyways. My father wasn't... Well, he wasn't very good at his job." Kalil says, slightly narrowing his eyes at the memory.

"I can't say I thought King Wolfrum would be a bad dad or anything so that's surprising-"

"Oh. Wolfrum is my dad. He's just not my father. He adopted me. Which... I dunno if I'm supposed to be keeping that a secret orrrrr..." Kalil tilts his head then shrugs. "Anyone who really looked would know anyways so I guess it's fine. Yeah. Wolfrum is a much better dad than my father ever was."

Storm nods and shrugs. "Sometimes chosen family is better than blood..."

After several minutes of roughhousing, Saige drags her siblings over by Storm and Kalil.

"Can someone look in my bag and find a solvent? I'm tired of being stuck to these two." She lifts them up in the air, one on each hand. "Plus I want to go send Valerian's letter!"

She grins.
