Saige's Training

Kalil shrugs. "Okay."

Storms eyes widen and then she laughs. "Oh yeah. This ought to be great!"

Kalil leans away. "Uh... Why?"

Storm starts to turn to walk towards Volaire. "Oh you'll see."

Kalil follows after.

So they return to Volaire and enter the Foresetidale embassy. Now a familiar couple of faces, a Knight leads them through the portal to Foresetidale and then to the safe house.

The knight at the door lowers the ward and lets them in. As soon as they pass through the doorway, they are met by screams and shouting.

"NO! I just cleaned that up!" Fennel shouts from one end of the living area.

The twins snicker and run past the entering group to run down the hall and there's a door slamming shut followed by a strange croaking cluck like that of a chicken.

Fennel sets to work cleaning up chicken feathers from the couch.

Meanwhile, Rosemary is drawing symbols on a paper and singing. "And the Dwarves raised their mugs-" Then she stops and shakes her head, scribbling out a few symbols and beginning to draw others.

The next moment, the twins come racing by again, each with an undead chicken in their grasp and making clicking noises at one another. Fennel turns and points a finger at them.

"Don't you dare!" But the twins release the chickens anyways and they begin clucking and running around the living area, spreading loose feathers everywhere.

Lavender walks in from the hallway, sobbing and wailing. She has chicken feathers all in her hair. "I-- *sob* I hate chickens! They're so gross!"

Kalil stands in the doorway, the ward now raised behind them. and stares mouth agape at the chaos ensuing.

Saige smiles at the chaos and takes a step forward.

"Hey everyone! This is my friend Kalil!!"

She runs to tackle the twins.

Fennel looks up at them and sighs heavily as a feather floats down and lands on his shoulder. He brushes it off with a disgusted look on his face. "Um. Hello Kalil? Kalil. Pleasure to uh... To meet you."

The twins screech as Saige tackles them and they flail to try to get out of her reach. Sorrel bites into Saige's arm and then scurries away.

Rosemary lifts her head and waves to him. "Oh hello! Welcome to our home!"

The sound of feet running on wood can be heard as Valerian races into the room. He turns to look at Kalil and his eyes widen. He runs a hand through his hair and smirks before approaching Kalil.

"Well, hello." He wiggles his eyebrows at Kalil as he reaches into his pocket to pull out a small frog wearing a headband made out of a small strip of leather. "I found this frog. Does this impress you?"

Kalil looks at the frog in confusion. "Yeeeessss....?" He says questionably.

Valerian smiles wide and reaches down to take Kalil's hand. Kalil flinches back when Valerian touches him and he holds Kalil's hand out to place the frog in it.

"Then it is yours. And... And... I am yours." Valerian drops to one knee in front of Kalil and Kalil backs into the door.

"Wait. What? What's happening?"

Storm doubles over laughing.

Valerian reaches over to take Kalil's other hand and kisses his knuckles just as a hand reaches out to snatch Valerian by the back of the collar and hoist him up off the ground. Basil twists and deposits Valerian on his ass several feet away from Kalil.

"I see you've met Valerian. Don't mind him. He's... In love." Basil sighs and drops his face in his hand as Valerian attempts to crawl towards Kalil. Basil sticks his foot out to block his path. "Valerian! Settle down!"

Valerian sits and points to Kalil. "But he accepted the Frog of Destiny. It's bandana is a symbol of love. We are destined for one another."

Kalil blushes and drops the frog immediately. Storm hits her knees laughing.

"No! Not Aurelius!" Valerian scrambles across the floor to capture the frog before it can hop away and then he looks up at Kalil. "You have accepted the Frog of Destiny. We are-"

Rosemary throws her crayon at Valerian and it pings off the top of his head.

"Valerian! Stop pestering our guest!" Rosemary calls from the couch.

Valerian crawls away. Storm wipes at her eyes as she continues to laugh.

Saige runs and climbs over the couch, using it to jump onto Basil's back.

"Got you!"

She squeezes him and grins, then looks up at Kalil.

"Okay okay! I gotta introduce you to everyone! This is Basil!"

She goes around introducing each of her family members that are present, barely giving Kalil time to process before dragging him to the next.

"We're still missing a few but I think we will find them soon! I asked Selena for help."

She then gasps, as if remembering something.

"Where's dad?! Dad needs to talk to Kalil about how to have a lot of kids!"

Kalil blanches. "No. No I'm good. I'm definitely good. I don't need to know that!"

Storm continues laughing and wiping at her eyes as she does, holding her sides.

Basil grips Saige by the legs and begins running around the living area. Rosemary retrieves her crayon from the floor and returns to her note taking. Fennel continues his futile effort to clean up the chicken feathers while the undead chickens continue to cluck and race around the living area. Valerian is murmuring to his frog about their new love and how to keep him here. Lavender lets out a shriek when one of the chickens comes close and then she bursts into tears once more. The twins continue chittering around the living room leaving a trail of bread crumbs as they go.

From the hall, Saige's father enters and beams as he spots his daughter. "Saige!! Did I hear you ask for me?"

Sylissa steps up beside him and smiles at the chaos of the living room before she charges in to tackle the twins and begin a tickle war.

Kalil groans.

“Dad!!”

Saige jumps off of Basil and runs over to her father, wrapping him up in a tight hug.

“This is my friend Kalil! He’s supposed to have lots of kids at some point so I told him you could give him advice on how to deal with them!”

She lets go, smiles at Kalil, then walks over to where Valerian is. She leans down and whispers to him.

“Kalil is already getting married so you can’t have him. But Jade is still single! And she accepted your rock! You should totally draw her a letter!”

She grins at him mischievously.
