You received a raven

Selena flinches and shoots her eyes over to the elves in response to their excited outbursts, watching them carefully as her hand instinctively goes to the handle of her sword, then smiles wide as Dorian enters, most of the visible tension leaving her body. "Dorian!" She stands to give him a hug in greeting, waving over another drink as they take their seats.

When Rachelle enters, she gives her a small smile and wave, and looks to make sure she's positioned far enough away from Miquella and Rachelle so they aren't disturbed by the darkness seemingly pouring off of her.

"Barony is basically kingdom protected land and people. There are a decent amount of bears, could always use more bears. I might have met someone at some point, and turtles already have hats. Well, sort of hats. Since their shell is their home, I guess it's more of a porch awning than a hat. I have been to a squirrel party though! It was nuts! The racoons added something to the punch, I just know it. Gotta be careful of them. They're some tricksy bastards!"

Several knights in yellow and blue file into the tavern as Dorian is taking his seat. Two stand behind him and three others find a table and appear to call for drinks.

Dorian returns Selena's embrace before sitting. Once seated he leans his elbows on the table and his chin on the backs of his hands. He looks directly at Jade. "Did I hear something about writing laws? Because that is a great idea. It allows the people to have a defense against those who would abuse their power and station. I'll happily assist any way that I can."

Rachelle smiles at the Elves and then turns to Miquella. "Who is our new guest?"

Miquella turns to Rachelle and says in a hushed tone. “That is Saige, and she is new in town. Can be a little out there, but seems to be good hearted. Loves her family, makes potions, and seems to just want to enjoy life.”

Miquella looks at the increased number of people around the table and back at Jade. “I agree, and I think all who are present can agree to some degree. It has been far to long since this land has had no formal laws. (He looks around the table) Jade makes valid points. How can we except to distribute proper justice? There is nothing we can follow. Nothing the people can follow. (He looks back at Jade, saying kindly) This is your summons. I believe we are ready when you are.”

*leaning against the wall watching everyone.* miquella is right, how are WE expected to do anything when the people who actually run things here won't lift a thing, sure Jade might be a noble but she isn't that high up on hierarchy. *pushing himself off the wall with his shoulder* "I'm leaving" he says while opening the tavern doors and walking out" "Saige, are you staying? If you are, do you remember how to get back to camp?"

Jade says in a stern voice

"Sit. Down. Now."

She makes direct eye contact with blodwulf.

"If you care at all about this land and the safety of its people then you will stay and help create these laws. But if you step out of this tavern before we even start then you can hand over that favor to me right now."

A portal opens near the fireplace, the sudden displacement of air causing the flames to flicker and loose parchment to flap from their rest.
A purple-skinned creature with curling horns and spaded tail steps through as the swirling energy dissipates behind him. He is donned in Black and Red with a black and silver longsword at his hip. He sweeps an expressionless gaze across the tavern and then meanders casually toward the group, choosing a chair closest to Jade.
Without a word, he places his hands in his lap, locks his neutral gaze upon Jade, and tilts his head slightly.
