"I'll pass on the offer. Thank you."

Jade says as she picks up a quill and dips it in ink.

"So I would guess we are all on the same boat when it comes to the basics. No murder or theft. Does anyone have anything else to add onto the basics?"

After the events of the last few minutes, Saige gapes at the room with wide eyes.
“Um…. I don’t really know what laws are… or anything you’re talking about to be honest…”
She looks to each person in the room, fiddling with her thumbs and trying to piece together what’s going on.
“If we’re trying to make things better for people, we could give them rocks. I mean it’s really hard to be sad when you have a pretty rock.”

Miquella sits up when Jade begins to speak. "If we are going over the basics then I purpose that we add the offenses of Arson, Rape, Slavery, Robbery, and Assault that leads to the physical impediment of the person to the list...of course there will have to be levels of these offenses noted. I suggest we have different levels of laws. Such as one against the city, nation, nobility, citizen, and whatever others suggest." Miquella smiles at Saige. "We will make sure your recommendation is noted. Maybe instead of having citizens own rocks. Perhaps we can mandate parts of the city to be reserved for nature? That way everyone can enjoy the beauty of nature and the life it brings." Miquella takes a sip of his drink and looks at around the table.

Mari clears her throat and relaxes as she turns to the table. "Um. I'd like to see charming and mind control magics outlawed. No one should have their will stripped from them."

Selena sits back in her chair and silently listens to everyone, sipping from her drink.

Jade scribbles notes onto the parchment and nods.

"I totally agree to the lack of will stuff. Miquella what do you propose for determining levels of wrong doing?"

Miquella ponders for a moment to think of a response to Jade's question. "I fill that the laws should be based on levels. Since offenses can have different meanings. Such as Assault...A minor assault can be one where there is no wounding such as a fist fight, a lesser could be where one person physically wounds a person causing injury, a serious could be someone who committed a lesser multiple times, and a server assault case could be an assault that results in mutilation." He takes a breath and continues, "Punishment should be left with an official who can give fair justice on the appointed crime. We do not need someone committing a minor offense being punished at the severe level."
