You received a raven

Jade shoots up from her seat and closes the distance between her and Blodwulf. As soon as he slices the fabric she rips it from his hand and gets within inches of his face.

"I make this meeting to better the law and the people who have to uphold it. You not only make a mockery of this meeting but also of yourself. You bring dishonor on Seshtau. You were given a direct order from the baroness herself and you constantly disobey it. As a testimony to your loyalty to this barony she commands you to be my protector long before I was thrown into this position. I don't need the protection. I am stronger than you ten times over. But that didn't stop you from constantly ignoring your duties. You have NEVER shown an ounce of loyalty to this barony you claim to want to join. I was going to wait until it was in the privacy of the embassy to strip you of your favor but you have forced me to make an example of you here and now."

Jade takes two steps back and raises her hand. It begins to glow with dark energy as she begins to utter incantations.

"By the powers of necromancy, corpse arms bind you in place!"

(Undead arms rise through the floor to hold you in place. Target also inflicted with fear)

"You have disrespected me. You have dishonored Seshtau. You make a mockery of this proceeding. You waist the time of everyone here with your wining. Well let this be the last time you speak disrespectfully to anyone."

Jade pulls out a cleaver from her side satchel. She reaches into Blodwulf's mouth with her left hand and pulls out his tongue. With her right hand she uses the cleaver to cut it free from his body. She then dispels the spell and returns to her seat.

"Let this be a lesson to anyone who wishes to join a kingdom sanctioned group who does not wish to follow their rules."

Jade hands the tou ge to Maximilian and wipes her hands off on her skirt.

"Maximilian please have him escorted off the premises since you two are such good friends. Return once this is delt with. Now let's resume. "

Selena narrows her eyes as she watches Blodwulf, her grip tightening on her swords, her soldiers following suite, readying themselves as well. She stays seated, silently watching as Jade handles her business, the corner of her mouth curling into a slight grin at her methods. "A soldier is whatever their commanders order them to be. And a noble is whatever it takes to protect their people." She says as Jade resumes her seat.

Mari reaches her hand into her bag, but stays seated watching and waiting, looking between Blodwulf and her new friend Saige.

Looking up and seeing the commotion, Celestria walks over to the table, near where Dorian is seated. "Hello, Is everything OK over here?" nodding towards Jade and Blodwulf. "I don't like fights going on in my tavern" she says with a slightly raised voice.

Dorian watches the scene play out and keeps a hand on his sword watching Bloodwulf carefully.

When Celestria approaches, Dorian stands and bows slightly to her in greeting. "Lady Celestria! Lovely to see you. I believe Lady Jade has this under control. My Knights and I will ensure the safety of your patrons, of course."

At that, he nods subtly to the knights sitting at the table behind the nobles and they all rise and form a semi circle around the table.

Maximilian opens his mouth to speak and then quickly closes it again as Jade takes to her feet. He leans back in his chair and watches with unwavering interest, his hands folded neatly in his lap.

At Jade's final statement, his lips twist into an expression of resentment as he stands, tossing the severed tongue into a random cup on the table.

Expression drops from his face once more as he approaches Blodwulf, places a hand crackling with dark energy upon his back, and escorts him from the Tavern. Upon crossing the threshold, he leans in to Blodwulf's ear and says softly, "I would advise keeping your head down for a while, lest it be the next item Lady Jade removes. Go in peace, travel safely."

He lingers on the word "peace", letting it resonate as a warning more than a generic farewell. With that, Maximilian turns on his heel and returns to the tavern, taking his seat near Jade.

He carefully retrieves the discarded favor and folds it neatly on the table in front of him before turning his attention back to the conversation

Celestria waves for the barmaid to bring more drinks, "how about another round?" Not so much as a question but more as a suggestion. "Would you like something to eat? " I think there is some stew in the kitchen. Along with some fresh bread."
