"Alright so we have one law so far, as long as everyone agrees."

Jade reads aloud from her notes.

"Slavery of sentient humanoids is forbidden by law. Ownership of created sentience, such as undead and constructs, is however allowed. They must be treated with decency and their base needs met or you shall be stripped of your possession of said beings."

After listening to the conversation, Saige speaks up, frowning.
“But the undead have feelings. And constructs, although I don’t know what they are. Why are you taking away their free will just because they’re different?”

"And the tree elf has a point there. Undead, well some undead have feelings and such, but that's going to need to be discussed when it comes time to figure out what rights undead should have. I personally believe undead, and constructs are just tools and weapons to be used, and should rarely be permitted to make their own decisions, however, I understand others have differing views on the abomination that is undeath." Selena glances to Saige, then to the light guild members, then back to Jade. "But that's a much longer discussion for another time I believe."

Mari leans over to whisper to Saige. "Constructs are the things that guard buildings and people. Created by mages with fake souls shoved into them. I'm fairly sure they don't have feelings. Most of them can't even talk."

Miquella sits a listen to the comments going around. He ponders for a moment before speaking. "I do feel that most of everyone here is on the same page now. I guess we need to discuss the act of assault and define that in tiers of severity." Miquella looks around the table.

Jade nods and looks up from her notes again.

"I suppose there are going to be multiple tiers of assault. Assault on non nobles/royalty. Assault on nobles/royalty. And assault that ends in murder."

*kicking the door open and throwing a dagger at the table near Jade* "How's this for assault?" *He shouts as he runs out of the Tavern and into the forest*
