Upon the arrival of Maximillian. Miquella looks composed and ignores the half-fiend. However, as he gets closer to table and sits down with his gleaming blade. Miquella balls one of this fist, and grasp it with the other. He grips his fist with with force. His hand is the only visual of his discomfort of his natural opposition. He snaps back to reality as Jade tells Blodwulf to sit down. He releases his hand and unclenches his fist. His fist white with the small loss of blood from no circulation, but only temporarily. Now focusing on moving his fingers back and forth. Touching the tip of his thumb to the tip of his other fingers. He sits patiently with a smile on his face.

Maximilian's eyes shift briefly to the Half-Celestial in his company and a mischievous grin curls the corner of his lip.
Pretending to be oblivious to Miquella's discomfort, he casually reaches into a pouch on his hip and withdraws a small creature. Holding it by the tail, he hovers it over his open mouth for several heartbeats before dropping the squirming and frantically squeaking rodent into his mouth, his sharp teeth suddenly silencing the cries of desperation.
He licks his lips and then returns his gaze to Jade.

Selena looks at Blodwulf at his comment about the leaders. "Excuse me?" She glances at his favor, then to Jade as she snaps at him. When the portal opens, Selena jumps up and unsheathes her swords, one with a solid black blade and the other appearing to be made of some kind of wood and silver. As soon as she sees the Seshtau colors she relaxes again, and waves to her soldiers to stand down. "Fuck." She sighs as she retakes her seat, laying her swords across her lap and rubbing the bridge of her nose, muttering another curse under her breath.

Mari jumps when the portal opens, then looks around to everyone and finally takes a seat. "We'll chat more later Saige. When we can be out with the trees and animals." She turns to Jade. "I'll take a copy of what we come up with to my baron when it's ready, that way none of you need worry about traveling through our forests." Her eyes widen in shock, then narrow in anger at Maximilian's choice of snack. "Was that really necessary? Did you really have to fucking eat a live animal right here, and now?"

When the portal opens up, Dorian and his flock of knights all jump to their feet and draw their swords. Upon seeing the colors on Maximillion's hip, Dorian sheaths his sword. "Stand down." His knights sheath their swords and return to their positions.

Rachelle startles at the opening of the portal and drawing of blades but remains in her seat. She glares at Maximillion as he eats the rodent.

*locking his eyes with Jade.* "I'll sit down and I will listen. But make no mistake about this. I joined Seshtau by Maximillians invitation. I did not join to play babysitter to a *curls his lips and says* Noble. *he says as he takes a seat on a stool near the farthest wall and crosses his arms. His sword tip lightly grazing the floor. "I'm a soldier, not a babysitter"

*Taking his dagger from his boot, he cuts off the favor and hands it to Maxmillian.* "Sir, I joined to make something of myself and to help you. Not to be a babysitter. If you need any help, Max. Don't hesitate to contact me. As for the rest of the barony. I'm done." *looking at saige* "Let's go" he says as he pushes the door open and exits.
