Nighttime Drinks

“So… they think *I* am an orange? Cards, I am not an orange, I think you are confused.” Saige picks up the Wheel of Fortune card and studies it, before asking the card in a whisper, “Do you know what an orange is?”

As Selena appears, she suddenly sits up.

“Oh! Knightmaster Selena! I wanted to talk to you! I haven’t had the chance to because I went to this really crazy party and there were rocks and bells and acorns and lights and these drinks that I’ve never had before that made my head really funny and there were little creatures behind my eyes and then everyone disappeared and...” Saige rambles for about a minute before stopping, taking a breath, and then saying, “But yeah, I wanted to talk to you.”

*picking up his mug, he walks over to a secluded table and sits down, laying his head on his forearms. Past events are catching up to him and he tries to sort through his own mind* "I'm a traitor." He says to himself over and over again trying to get himself to actually believe it*

Selena looks over Saige, leaning back from her as her energy explodes and quirks her eyebrow.
"I didn't do it... Ok. I probably did it, but we don't need to talk about it."
She stares at Saige for a few more moments. "Ok. What is it that I may or may not have done?"

She glances over to Blodwulf as he heads off to himself and rolls her eyes before she turns back to a waitress signalling to take Blodwulf a whiskey before she turns back to Saige.

*Picking his head up and accepting the whisky and thanking the server, he drinks the whisky in two swallows. He then puts his head back down on his arms*

“I just wanted to say thank you. For helping me out of that stupid magic portal.”

She gives Selena a warm smile and holds out a shiny rock, offering it to her.

“See, it matches your scales! I thought you would like this one, but if you would prefer another rock, I have like, so many rocks. I would also like to thank your shadowy friend, the one who was kind of creepy but really cool! I don’t know how to find him though…”

She begins looking around to the various dark corners of the tavern, watching closely in case of figures stepping out.

“I wonder if I could get him to teach me how to be friends with the shadows too, that sounds like it would be really cool. I bet they are really good at keeping secrets.”

Noticing Blodwulf with his head down, Saige sneaks up behind him and places a leaf on his head, then goes back to Selena.

Selena continues looking over Saige for a few moments, then sniffs the air towards her and tilts her head, looking at the rock then back up.
"Uuh. Don't mention it. Like. Ever. Let's not tell people I had anything to do with that. Ok? Our little secret?"

She looks at the rock again and shakes her head.
"That's pretty, but no thank you. Give it to someone who needs it more." She tilts her head as if she's asking a question as she speaks to Saige then watches Saige walk over to Blodwulf and back.

"And, no shadows don't make good friends. You should stick to the trees and the light and away from the shadows."
