A portal opens...

Selena snorts a growl at Ivan, deflating slightly when she makes eye contact with him. Shaking her head when he motions for her to follow back inside. "I'll stay here." She swaps to draconian, the growl still heavy in her voice. "Too dangerous for me to be in there."

Selena, still in her zone of darkness keeping others away from her, takes a few deep calming breaths, closing her eyes as she focuses to get control of the rage.

When she opens her eyes again she turns to Astra. "You're an idiot. And idiots meddling with big bad things are capable of lots of big bad things. You don't know this land. You keep claiming you have things that don't exist here. You claim you know about curses, but don't know the difference between a Tovi curse and some random curse. Learn about this land and how the magic works before continuing to run your mouth and stick your nose where it doesn't belong... Before you get yourself, and others killed, or become my problem."

With a sigh, Astra speaks with a voice reminiscent of a child. “Then teach me. I don’t want to hurt anything or anyone, I want to learn. I may not know things of your world, but you know none of mine. I was planning to ask the lady before she reacted, as I was interested in learn as she was showing me. Now I think I’ve ruined it.”

She scoffs at herself, “So much for me. My own status and role means nothing if you’re not in the Sihde…”

Ivan continues up the ward for the inner sanctum. "Ward down".

Once Miquella steps through with Jade, he says "Ward up" and continues down the hall.

Rachelle watches Ivan step through the inner sanctum and then tilts her head. "Ivan?"

She shakes her head and walks over to the entrance of the guild without lowering the wards. "Is everyone alright out there?"

"That's another thing. Stop talking to me about fucking fairies. I don't give a fuck about what you do or don't do with them. I want nothing to do with that shit. You're not in the Sidhe, so you're right. Your roll and status mean nothing here, to any of us. And I am teaching you. Running your mouth about things you don't know to the wrong people will get you killed. And you are wrong, yet again, I probably know more about the Sidhe and fairies and all of those fucking bugs than you do."

She takes another deep breath, a growl still coming from her chest.
"If Lady Jade, or anyone at the light guild or mage's guild want to teach you how the magic here actually works, that's between them. For now, you're just an irritation to me with your lies about curse knowledge and acting like you know better than us. Us who run this fucking kingdom and keep all of you... civilians alive."

Rachelle's eyes narrow as she listens to Selena.

"Inner ward down." She steps over the threshold. "Inner ward up. Outer ward down." She steps over this threshold as well. "Outer ward up."

Rachelle walks over to Selena and Astra looking back and forth between them. "Commander? Is everything okay?" She looks at Astra as she asks.

“Just listening to being berated and belittled. Being told I’m stupid and I’m a lair. Misunderstandings and whatnot.”

Astra sighs, “I’ll be on my way back go my hovel, as it was described by the lovely members of your guild.”

A few tears run with her cheek, but she quickly grasps herself. “Just wrapped up in a spell. Thank you for concerning over somebody as insignificant as me.”
