Selena looks up at Rachelle and snorts another growl as she turns her attention back to Astra. "Yeah. This one needs someone who will hold her hand and teach her things."
When she notices Astra crying, she rolls her eyes and huffs. "Fuckin civvies."
She closes her eyes and takes another couple of calming breaths, her hand flexing around the handle of her sword, still drawn, held at her side, rubbing the bridge of her nose with her free hand.
"For fucks sake. Look. I'm not a nice person. I can be, I can be very nice and shower people with gifts. But only those that deserve it, and only when I'm not fucking pissed off from being trapped inside that bright ass shit!"
She points towards the guild, and towards the huge guardian that's returned to it's post.
"Usually, I have much better control of my anger issues, at least when I'm out here in public. Today is not one of those days. And trust me, I'm going to chew Lady Jade's ass out too as soon as she's done getting fixed. That was stupid, on both of your parts to be messing with ancient vampire shit out here in the open. You do a stupid thing, you get berated, at the least. If one of my soldiers had done something so stupid and reckless, they wouldn't be standing anymore."
The five draconians in black and white robes with over stuffed messenger bags slung across their body, look for confirmation from Selena's short nod, before they nod in agreement towards Astra at Selena's statement.
She sighs again and throws her empty hand up, dropping it at her side.
"And how am I not supposed to think you're a liar when you claim to know about curse stuff, and take no precautions with something that could very well be cursed? And you claim to know about the Sidhe, yet walk up to me, clearly of the draconian variety, and brag about being from there. Did they skip the stuff about us hating each other? Who was your teacher? Cause they seem like they're to blame for your... lack of knowledge."

“I wasn’t bragging, at least I don’t see it that way. I apologize if it sounds boastful, but it was how I was taught to introduce myself. But in the Sihde, its kill or be killed, I’m sure you know that. We don’t have time for hate, its dangerous as told many times. My home, _my house_, is just a gathering of people under one roof. During hard times with your war, The War of 302 was it? Well, people fled. Found their way into the dangers of Sidhe. Many of them died, before the house was made.”
With her arms loosening a bit, Astra wiggles a little in place.
“My family, The Cadeums, built a home there when they fled. It was small at first, but when more people came to seek shelter…we couldn’t say no. Wild Elf, Tovi, High Elves, Humans…we took them in. We didn’t have time for hate, not when tending to weaker people. Its similar to your Guild of Light. To help weak people on their feet. I feel drawn to it in a way.”
Astra smiles, continuing on. “It just turned into the House. My family was elected the leaders and the house named itself such. These people got on their feet, but said they wished to help. We formed a group called The Coven there. We hunted mystical oddities. We collected dangerous, cursed, or ancient artifacts we could find. With scholars, alchemists, potion crafters, healers…The Cadeum House became something of note in our small space. I wasn’t raised around hate, but around teamwork. Sure, people have differences and the bits of hate linger… but petty hate and squabble isnt for me when I can learn from those people.”
Astra looks up at Selena. Her look is sincere and serious, believing her own words.
“And I don’t think your awful and damned by the mother moon I love, I just don’t understand you, so ‘what could I learn from you?’ is my thoughts. I harbor no hate or ill will to you. But to answer you, my teacher was my Father. I enjoy the hunt, the crafting, the magic. I managed to leave the Sidhe to look for a place I could fine tune my magic. To find my brother.”
She looks down at the ground, solemnly for a moment.
“I realize I act recklessly, that I’m naive and excitable…but sticking to traditions and rules are constraints on how to expand yourself. You end up in the same space you always have been and can’t improve. So, I act as kind as I can and take opportunities when I see one.”
She wiggles a little more, the spell slowly letting up. “So, no I never thought a blanket and holding hands fixes anything, Commander. But it does provide you with an opportunity to grab a situation and gain control. You did exactly as I planned for. Keeping her focus on me was to let the rest of you act, as you know what to do. I may not have your means or way of life, but I’d like to learn from it and maybe in turn you’d learn something from me too. My group may not be three armies, but like your guild: we act as one.”
Astra laughs at herself. “Wow, that sounded so chivalrous! Must sound dumb right? It does to me too, but its the truth for us.”
She looks back up at Selena, her eyes more stern and emotional. “So, I apologize for the havoc I’ve caused. I was planning to follow what Miquella said, but I would like to learn about your guild first, if it is possible. It may seem small, but I am a budding potion maker, alchemist, and I can wield a sword well.”

Selena watches and listens as Astra explains herself, finally putting her sword away and sitting down in her zone of darkness magic. "Well I wasn't here for the war of 302, not that that stopped me from experiencing more of it than I wanted to. And the hatred between fairies and dragons is anything but a petty squabble. Fairies are vicious malicious creatures that are annoying and only good as a fried snack." She snarls slightly and wiggles her wings a bit and curses under her breath. "Fuckin bugs."
She looks up to the sky at the moon and the stars, then quickly shakes her head and looks back down as she leans back on her hands.
"Hmm. Love the moon... Stars too?" She chuckles to herself and shakes her head again.
"I can probably help find your brother. I'm good at finding people and things... sometimes.... Not right now though, before you ask. I'm not looking for anyone or anything right now. It's not safe."
She takes another breath and nods to Rachelle.
"She's the guildmistress. It's her guild. I'm not in charge of anything in there, but if you're a healer, from not here, that's your best bet. Get in with them and get them to teach you how things work here. Or the Mage's guild, but I don't really know much about them, other than the guildmaster's pretty nice... if you can get him to sit still long enough to have a conversation."

Astra gives Selena a smile. “I see, I’ll have to see to talking to them sometime. And, I understand and love the help, my brother has been missing for a century. Went out to ‘save the world‘ but he’s out there…if he’s alive or gone…I need to know.”
Astra looks up, noting Selena’s glance upward. “And yes, the stars too. They tell stories too. Tales of heroes. Tales of the past. They move ever so slightly, but people who have their names in the stars…they live forever. I believe we all go to the stars in the end. To watch over the world.”
She looks over at Selena, taking note of her in a less scary light but doesn't say a word as to not disturb the peace of the moment. She wiggles a little, finally freeing herself as she stands up, leaning against a pole. Astra pulls out a beaten up brown journal, sifting through it as she pens down a few notes as she measures something invisible. With a few wisps of magic, she shuts the book and places it back in her bag.

"I'll see what I can do to help you find your brother. Losing family sucks. And not knowing sucks even more."
She looks up at the stars again.
"They tell more than just the past if you know how to read them."
She shakes the thought from her head and looks back down.
"But there's no one up there anymore."
She turns back to Astra once more.
"Sorry to burst your bubble, but yeah. Most people go to the void when they die, unless they have ties to another plain, then they go there. I think. Usually. There's a lot of factors that determine where you end up after your final life. Attunements and ties to the plains have a lot to do with it though."

*walking up to Selena, Blodwulf snaps a quick salute to her*
"Commader, if things have calmed down here and you have no need for me at this moment, may I be dismissed? I feel as if my friend is in trouble and need to find her."
*Adjust his shoulder armor and running his hands over his closely cropped hair*
"Please, commander?"
