A portal opens...

Deep in the guild, the sound of a door slamming open is suddenly heard over the various conversations. The slam is followed immediately by the heavy sound of heavy footfalls resonating down a hallway accompanying angry shouting.
"...-uk do you mean Dominated? Why the fuck hasn't anyone fixed it? Where are they? I swear by The Sisters, I leave for a few years and you hopeless fucks can't eve-..."
The sudden sound of a door slamming cuts off the words, plunging the guild once again into an uneasy silence.

Jade smiles and curtsies to Astra.

"Of course Astra. We here won't rob you blind. But we also won't sit idle by if something seems to be dangerous. During the war I saw so many people try and use things they shouldn't. And some of those people are no longer here. And while I can agree with the sentiment of not eradicating a group of undead for no reason. I do have to say the vampires being wiped out was probably for the best."

Jade sits in the grass and pulls out a book from her side pouch and begins to flip through it. Inside are diffrent parchment of different rituals.

"Vampires are not a group of undead that can normally be reasoned with. They take what they want and they mind control anything they view to be less than them. Which unfortunately is literally everything."

Jade stops on a page and begins to read from it.

"Astra if you would be so kind as to bring me the bowl."

Jade pats the ground next to her. Inviting Astra to sit with her.

"If you can read magic texts, I want you to watch what I do. This is how we identify things on this plane."

Jade begins the ritual.

Miquella looks at Astrid on the other side of the ward and speaks, “so if you were not aware this is the Guild of Light. Long story short some member walked in and put us on lockdown. Hence the ward that won’t come down.”

"Sparky!" She screams at him as he makes his way through the building sighing and groaning again when he's out of earshot once more. "I have the extra mages and shit here to help. Damned elf."
She sighs again and turns back to Astra.
"Yeah the stuff stopped. These guys are here to help make sure no one else is dominated by the vampires."
She turns back to yell towards the direction of the angry elf. "If I can ever get in!"

Astra takes the bowl and removes her seals, sitting down by Lady Jade. “I can read and write them, yes. I’d be happy to learn how it is done.”

“So, if I’m understanding, a member of yours put their guild on lockdown? But why?”

Astra, sitting down next to Jade, watches the ritual with intense curiosity as she continues speaking to Miquella.

“I assume we know who the member is? Perhaps we could locate them? Are they on my side or your side?”
